What a great end of the year for the HW division. Here we go guys ... I think we finally got the movement that everyone wanted after the Klitschko era has ended. The only disappointment I would say is the injury of Kubrat Pulev. Otherwise almost every boxer is active right now.
    1. We have Joshua vs Takam.
I think this fight is way more dangerous than the one vs Pulev. I feel like Takam is the most underrated from the top20 fighters and he deserves this shot so bad. Putting a great performance against Povetkin, got robbed against Perez and could've won against Parker. Beat the old tiger Tony Thompson convincingly. He has the power, the aggression and the durability to bother Joshua. Anyways Joshua would probably beat him in the late rounds. Joshua by TKO between 6-12 round.
    2. Povetkin vs TBA.
Everyone is almost sure that this is going to be Hammer. It is just a matter of time to be official. Hammer is used to be considered as the underdog in his fights. He fought bravely against Price and shattered his glass chin and he really surprised everyone with his win against Teper. In my opinion Povetkin will probably end Hammers winning strike. The anti doping propaganda against the whole Russian country is kinda messy, but I think Povetkin deserves a huge fight against someone from the top5. Povetkin by TKO between 10-12 round.
    3. Wilder vs Stiverne II.
A huge disappointment to see them fighting again. Stiverne did nothing to deserve this title shot. He got rocked by Rossy in the first round and I am pretty sure this time Wilder will blow him away. But really what the hell is Wilder thinking? I was never negative against him but it feels like he deserves all these hates. This is a huge miss match and probably no one wants to see it. Everyone was so excited about Wilder stepping up against Povetkin or Ortiz but in the end we end up seeing a **** show again. Wilder by KO in the first 6 rounds.
    4. Bellew vs Haye II.
Oh my god. I don't even want to comment this. I've already commented this in the forum. Both of them need to get out of the HW scene. Haye is super fragile and is far away past his prime. Bellew is one lucky guy who i have no idea how got in the top10 of the HW ( according to boxrec ). I doubt it Haye will make the whole fight. He is again training in weird places like Turkey , Miami , etc. enjoying his life and waiting for another payday. His comeback was a complete bull****. Fighting two random bums to get a higher rank and then falling apart on the ring. Bellew showed how limited he is. He couldn't get rid of a one legged man for 1 hour. This a non sense show fight which reminds me of McGregor - Mayweather. It's all about the money. If Haye can finish the match without braking his leg... he will win. Otherwise Bellew will get a weird win again. I am going with a Bellew by TKO.
    5. Miller vs Wach.
This is a fight that no one probably expected. But it's a good one. A really good test for Miller against the durable Wach. Wach proved that he is a really rough guy and that he can use his size advantage. To be honest I was kinda sceptic for Miller. He was pretty inactive but then the win against Washington came and I started to take a different look at the things. Maybe there is something in this guy that can get him in the top10 in the future but first he needs to win in his fight with Wach. I feel like Miller will get the decision in this one. Miller UD.
    6. Breazeale vs Mollina.
Well both fighters aren't the top warriors of the division but for the neutral people that watch boxing , this one sounds fun. Well I don't think so because Mollina will get badly outclassed and badly KO'ed. Mollina has only 1 good fight in which he was behind but landed a lucky shot against an old old man - Adamek. Before the Wilder fight no one ever heard of him. He will slowly sink in the rankings around 35-50 place where he really belongs. Breazeale please make us favor and KO him. I don't think Breazeale is something special either but he is the better fighter imo.
    7. Whyte vs Helenius.
A good match up for Whyte. He needs those fights because they are actually pretty challenging for him. I think most of the people underrate Helenius just because he was out of shape, but he can bang for sure. The real question is with what motivation will Helenius show up for his fight? In my opinion the money will motivate him just for cashing out and that's it. Whyte via KO. But it could be the potential slug fest of all these fights.
    8. Charr vs Ustinov
Finally the WBA situation is about to be solved. As I predicted Oquendo tried to get involved in this and he succeeded. The fight was changed as WBA heavyweight title eliminator and the winner must face Oquendo. I can't wait this greedy old grandpa to get hardly beaten. For me Ustinov will win against Charr, no matter he is ageing. Charr showed many times that he has no chin and can't handle big punchers. Well Ustinov is a really big guy and it will be easy for him. I hope it will be a good fight and Charr will at least try to outwork Ustinov with speed and good movement. Charr still has some chances but they are for getting a close decision... I just can't see him KO Ustinov. My prediction is Ustinov by a brutal KO.
    9. Kuzmin vs Browne
This is going to be the bomb! Everyone ( including me ) writes off Browne but he can pull the upset. The fact that he agreed to fight in Russia against Kuzmin is enough. He is confident that he can win. I have no doubts that he will be looking for the knockout because a decision in Russia looks utopic. This fight is going to be bloody, I just hope Browne won't get sanctioned again for substances and the fight is actually going to happen. Both fighters are very durable but Browne is more proven on the professional scene. I would be disappointed if Kuzmin turns out to be the next Granat. Kuzmin looks like one of the future top fighters and I think this is the right time for him to prove the world he is worth it. I would say it is a 55/45 fight leaning for Kuzmin because it is in Russia. My pick is Kuzmin by a Split Decision.

Best fight for me was Joshua vs Klitschko for HW 2017.

Takam was on notice that he was the replacement for Pulev since that fight was announced. Is there any evidence he has been training these past few weeks though?

Isn't Browne and Kuzmin on its way also?

Ustinov and Charr is at least moving the WBA mess along a step, and Ustinov has seemed to be in better shape in recent times so he could be a tough challenge for someone of note at some stage.

Great thread. I'm also interested in browne vs Kuzmin and looking forward to seeing Joe Joyce on his debut.

Joyce is going to get moved very quickly due to his age which should be exciting. I reckon he'll have more balls and a greater chin than Harrison/Price.

    Wilder vs Stiverne, really?
I expect that to be even less competitive this time around as it was 3 years ago.

    love the heavyweights though.

I'm actually expecting to Stirverne to do better this time around. I know I might be crazy here in thinking Stirverne might have a chance but Im going to be watching for that :)

2017 the rise of the greatest heavyweight of all time Anthony Joshua.

We are living through one of greatest moments of heavyweight history. We should all feel blessed.

If Joshuas unifies all the belts and beats all the best fighters of his generation then I'll say he's up there with the greats...but he still wouldn't be the greatest.

Just double watched last two fights of Oscar Rivas. This guy looks super buffed and I really hope he will join the top heavies next year. He reminds me of Carlos Takam but more skilled! Does anyone has info about his next fight and about his recent eye problem?
