Purses like this is why fighters sign with Haymon. Now a guy getting $100,000 for a fight don't look so bad. Even Rod Salka made $200,000 to get chin checked.
Thats a generous way of putting it. 2.5k? Thats is really low. Did they not sell any tickets? Or were the sponsors not interested?
Outside of a few guys, there's really no money at these lower weights(below bantam). The whole purse was 25 abd they had to five arroyo 90% fir him to fight
Pretty sure a lot of fighters in areas like Thailand are paid similar amounts... hence why they seem to take on as many financial sponsors as possible, even to the point of including franchise names in substitute of their own.
