Do you think that Roach puts his fighters in tough fights? I mean obviously Roach doesn't cherrypick opponents for his fighters if Chavez Jr is fighting Cotto right?

Freddie is a smart man he does cherry pick moments, the Cotto fight was rush for a reason aside from all the demands from weight to ring size, etc.

who gives a **** Cotto is washed up and beat up at this point. Doesn't mean **** who he fights, he can't really beat an elite level fighter so wtf is the point? Not like hes going to drastically alter his legacy from here on out. Thats why people give him the pass.

It is just a matter of him being a cherry picker and coward.

the problem is he had already fought mosley, margarito, clottey and pacquiao. he has no problems fighting floyd back then after he beat mosley. i don't care if he would get some easy fights after all of these.

    Blame Arum.

He has all his fighters on a leash.

Are you sure it's NOT because Floyd's been at the Elite level LONGER then Cotto...and a world Champ since 1998?

Besides, he hasn't fought Chavez yet...cry WHEN it's signed and official. K? :D

    LOL at all this...

    Cotto has fought

    Torres
    Branco
    Malignaggi
    Quintana
    Urkal
    Judah
    Mosley
    Margarito
    Jennings
    Clottey
    Pac
    Foreman

in his last 12 fighs..... the guy has not had 2 fights in a row with non top fighters at the time of their fight, basically every other fight of his is against someone who was hot at the time.... and now all of a sudden its RUMORED to where he actually ISNT fighting a top fighter and a few people get their panties in a bunch over it.

Cotto has BUILT and earned the right that, at this stage of his career (on the decline, suffering almost back to back to back grueling fights, trying to mesh with his new trainer, getting comfy with a new weightclass, ect, ect) to fight a fight or two where he isnt going to be in a fight of his life in there.

Out of all the things to put energy into complaining about in boxing..... Miguel Cotto? taking easy fights? really?

    come on now

Cotto doesn't get too much **** for it cuz like you said, he doesn't really do it that often. I think he's doing this to get his confidence back. Besides this is only his second fight at this weight. Unlike someone like Mayweather who has been doing it for most of the latter part of his career. That is the difference! :deal

It's funny how Cotto gets a free pass for ducking fighters, because everyone says it's Arum's fault.

He's a very well liked boxer... but that doesn't mean he should be able to get away with this ****.

    OK... One fighter....

Still... until he gets his ass in the ring with a guy who has been begging to whip his ass for three years now, I don't wanna hear all this **** about him being "a different kind of warrior who will fight anybody" and all that dumb ****...

    **** him.
