Dana White takes it to a whole new level.

    Under White's proposed Centralized Control (revenue hoarding) model, leaked contracts from his proposed boxing league show a tiered pay structure;

    $20K for unranked fighters
    $50K-$125K for ranked contenders
$375K-$750K for title challengers and champions

Currently UFC fighters only earn 19.5% of revenue so why in God's name would boxing want anything to do with White?

If White headed a boxing monopoly for the last 10 years he would be a billionarre from outright robbery of fighters wages

    Ugly little man

Atleast with traditional boxing promoters they were in competition with each other.

There are good aspects about UFC that could be implemented into boxing, such as fewer belts and weight classes! But, of course there are downsides to UFC too such as the pay structure. Also, I find grappling in UFC incredibly boring.

It will be much much harder to monopolise boxing than it was to monopolise MMA. It may well basically be a race to see who's Turki's biggest fanboy is.

Go to the 2:10 mark of this clip for Andrew Schulz's shots at White during the Netflix Tom Brady roast:

This won't work for boxing, he's crazy if you think boxers are going be fighting for that little amount of money.

If the contracts are anything like the UFC's, then in the current landscape only desperate types or someone with very poor management will be signing on to this because currently boxers have many other alternative promoters who can offer them much better deals. They also have legal recourse available under the Ali act but Ari Emanuel, Dana, & Turki are trying to get rid of that

This will only work in securing top talent if they first manage to bury/buy out the other promoters so that this new scam is the only game left in town just like the UFC is in MMA for the most part. I don't think that will be easy to do at all

Also White is just a figurehead, TKO is public company & Ari is the boss plus Turki is pulling the strings behind this. Left to his own devices Dana can only launch things like Powerslap

CSAC withdraws support of Ali Act destruction after public outcry

Vocal pushback has forced the California State Athletic Commission to reconsider its backing of TKO’s attack on boxing

    by Patrick Stumberg
    Sep 9, 2025, 3:12 PM EDT

In preparation for a vote to support the “Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act,” TKO’s grotesquely bad-faith attempt to defang the original Ali Act, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) opened the floor to public comment.

The public did not take kindly to their position. As a result, CSAC scrapped its initial plan to back the bill, instead creating a subcommittee to investigate the bill ahead of a potential vote in December.

The bill, led by Representatives Brian Jack and Sharice Davids, has yet to be heard in either the Committee on Education and Workforce or the Committee on Energy and Commerce. It would need to pass out of committee, pass the House, and then secure 60 votes in the Senate to reach the President’s desk. That’s an extremely tall order, especially with a hideously divided Congress scrambling to cobble together a funding bill ahead of their end-of-month deadline.

Still, I’ll keep you all abreast of any developments. This is your chance to have a hand in defending the sport you love.

If the boxing world wants to keep the Ali Act, they need to come up with a better alternative. They need to find a way to stop the unpleasant situlations of fighters cherry-picking and avoiding each other. And they need to find a way to stop the tyranny and corruption of the numerous boxing organizations. Otherwise, it doesn't matter whether the Ali Act exists or not.

It matters somewhat but really athletic commission opposition is more symbolic than of real value because if Congress decides to pass it, then it won't count for anything

Dana, Ari, & TKO have tremendous influence at the white house plus the Saudi money can't hurt either but we will have to see how much of a priority this is when Trump has many other things to worry about like the trade war, Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine-Iran etc

Fighters themselves should voice their opposition but most probably don't even know anything about this

That's why I liked it when Canelo shut down Max Kellerman's obscene glazing of Dana & Crawford backed him up

You should have seen Dana's non answer when Sean Zittel questioned him about this

I expect that Zittel will lose his media access to any boxing events involving Turki now because that's what the UFC does in MMA, anyone who asks real questions as journalists get black listed & only sycophants who ask predetermined soft ball questions are allowed as MMA "journalists"

Because imo Turki is trying to follow Dana’s centralised model for boxing and wants to effectively control the whole sport.

For the big stars this pay model is not good but how many big stars do we have that can demand (deserve) those high amounts of money? Idk, for up and comers and boxers that’s not known this could actually be a good thing, especially if they guarantee at least 4 fights a year like the UFC does.
