I think JR is doing really well for 25-26 years old. The hate on him is a bit over done tbh. He's not like in his early 30's and still fighting bums. It's just record padding at the moment. He never said he's the best either. I think he will get big fights and fight really dangerous guys soon. But atm for someone who's 25-26 he is solid. I mean look at Lennox Lewis, he started picking things up big time at age 25 and went on to become a top 10-5 ATG. And THE ATG in h2h match ups. Lewis is a monstrous entity of boxing excellence and he really started picking up the freight train around 26+. Even if Jr FIGHT BUMS FOR 2 MORE YEARS

He can still end up an ATG base on what he does in his late 20's on

here's the problem, he is holding a version of the world title and he's expected to fight ranked opponents not low levels.If he was fighting these guys on an undercard i can understand, and if he wasn't holding a verison of the world title i could also understand.
he has been ducking his mandatory for over a year now, as a world champion he's expected to fight world rated opposition but where the **** do guys like manfredo, rubio and now sturm fit into all this. the fact that people have to pay 70 USD to watch him fight in a PPV event against some low tier opponent is insulting

 

Chavez put on a career turning beat down on poor Zbik similar to Calzaghes domination over Jeff Lacy. Sturm beat a shot Zbik tonight, he'll unfortunately never be the same fighter again.

 

Zbik was no worse than he was against Chavez for like 4 rounds then he got busted up and beat down. the main difference was that on one day he fought a bum and on the other he fought some solid gatekeeper..

Maravilla picks Sturm apart and knocks him out like Dzinziruk anyway. Sturm just needs to fulfill his job as Golovkins stepping stone next..

I noticed straight after the Macklin Martinez fight, they scraped Chavez Murray. Maybe coz they realised Sturm wasn't shot. Anyway JCC got all this praise for beating a guy Pavlick easily destroyed. Anyway fair play to JCC he's a decent fighter but it's a disgrace how they striped Martinez for nothing and gave JCC a very winable home fight. It's BS.

 

Btw I mean Murray obz did well against Sturm.
