According to another thread Ward's team has the intent to rematch Kessler Now Im ok with Kessler getting another Ward fight because like many I thought the headbutts were BS but that said did Kessler just duck out of the tournament for the easy route and a big money grab fight I mean think about it now he gets an "easy" belt off of Stieglitz and avoids the available Bute And sits and waits on the sidelines til the big fight comes his way if his eye was so bad why couldnt he complete the tournament, i mean didnt he have Allan Green next so he got out of the tournament before Green yet now his eye is ok enough to face Ward I like Kessler but he just didnt wanna have to face Froch and ward again to win the S6 he just wanted to let the smoke clear

Sure he would had Ko'ed Green but his eye was bad and wouldn't have been better after a ko win vs Green. In a possible semifinale vs Froch he would had risk his eyesight. The Stieglitz fight is the best thing he could make a the moment He stays in shape and gets a belt before he's fighting one of the other 4 top guys
If Kessler stayed in the S6 he would have dusted Green, then lost to Ward again, badly. And he would have made S6 money doing it. He stands to make a LOT more money fighting the winner, or the winner-up, or Bute. It's Bidness.
