Really??? Does he mean it this time??

I was a big fan, overlooking some of his behaviour, but with the world at his feet he seems to want to throw it away. I hope he can sort himself out, but I very much doubt it and he has no place in a boxing ring imo now, as sad as it is.

Yep beating Klitchko and then fighting nobody afterwards is simply a joke.

A champion is judged on there reign and not just the fight they win the belt in.

At least Buster Douglas attempted to defend his title after beating Tyson.

    Rahman rematched Lewis.

Fury wanted no part of Vlad in a rematch and now is taking the easy way out.

if you class that exhibition match a fight , minimal number of punches thrown but refused the rematch TWICE
lost to big john fought regular crusierweights but would not fight the undisputed crusier weight champion
and then behaves just like him opps

Sorry for the big bold type, I didn't want to look a muppet spelling his name wrong so I copied and pasted it...and ended up looking like a muppet anyway haha.

Regarding the fight, you can't take that victory away from him. Going to one of the boxing greats, backyard and completely nullifying him. It was an intelligent fight from Fury.

It seems that he just wants to be loved by the public. He felt like they turned their back on him (mostly his fault tho), and he's lost his motivation as a result.

He needs a year away, and then come back and win them belts back.

It's obvious the man is unwell and is suffering mentally. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope once he's in a better place he decides to box on :campeon:

cannot take his achievement away far beyond anything I will ever reach to but he as brought this sh1t on himself and as ducked serious challenges and then to throw all his toys out the pram it screams mental midget
this imo will have a massive effect on brand fury

I'm sorry, but this whole retiring thing looks to me if he's just trying to avoid the humiliation of being stripped and receiving a ban.

Even if the cocaine thing would be viewed as out of competition, which according to VADA it isn't in this case, he still has the UKAD hearing to attend and there's not much chance they'll vote in his favor after telling them to F off for another test. And even if he succesfully manoeuvres past all of that, the inactivity will probably get him stripped anyway...

About to be banned, has no interest in training and is clearly reluctant to fight the big names. He can try and spin it how he likes but this hypocrite has been caught out and left the sport with his tail between his legs.

Hopefully Wlad's next opponent really does a number on him and shows just how finished he is. Then we can all move on from this debacle and start afresh.
