Wladimir Klitschko pulled out of fighting Dereck Chisora twice. David Haye pulled out of fighting Tyson Fury twice. Vitali Klitschko pulled out of fighting Hasim Rahman about 4 times ! Difference is, Tyson Fury already has a 1-0 tally against the guy he's been giving the run around, yet he's getting the worst stick than anyone. He says he unhinged mentally in no condition to fight, people say that's just an excuse, and then have a going at him for behaving unhinged mentally. I really don't care much about the drugs thing. What can I say ? Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, a host of others, admitted to using cocaine. Oscar De La Hoya sniffed coked dressed in women's lingerie and is well respected. PEDs are rife. I'm sure most of my recent sporting heroes are full of them. Holyfield's one of my favourites. Tyson Fury came along in the wrong era. He'd have been at home in the 1970s, with John Conteh, George Best, Muhammad Ali.
That won't stop him though. He will be calling other fighters every name under the sun for doing things he has done himself, then when everyone calls him out he will proceed to cry and claim that no one likes him because we're all racist.
Fury sounds like a crazy person.................is it the drugs or is it just him? He knew that Vlad would knock him out..............
I get the impression by his up and down behaviour that he may be bipolar. He seems to go through spells of being at the top of the world, having fun, being an extrovert and then we see these very dark times like now were he goes off the radar and tweets crazy things. I'm no doctor, I'm just throwing an opinion in as they've said he has psychological/mental issues and his behaviour points towards that. If it is something like bipolar then it isn't something that can be fixed over night, but over time it could be managed.
Haye got far worse stick than fury for the pullouts, besides fury was dumb enough to fail a drug test for a drug that stays in your system for a few days so deserves stick for that alone
Nobody's perfect. None of us on here can truly hold our hands up and say we've never messed up, big time. If the fella has significant mental health issues, then shouldn't we showing a bit of class by easing off him and wishing him a recovery? These mental health issues could actually be the reason he behaves the way he does and if that it so, then he needs protecting.
if your unhinged mentally the very last thing one should do is sniff coke direct link to class A,s and mental health which then makes his I'm depressed more questionable contradictory almost
Mentally unhinged people shouldn't be boxing either, but the paradox is you have to be a bit mental to box in the first place. I think Tyson Fury genuinely wants to retire at the moment but his family and his promoter keep talking him out of it.
"They say I've got a version of bipolar. I'm a manic depressive. I just hope someone kills me before I kill myself." I hope he gets the right treatment. The exercise (once he's committed to it) building up to a fight will have him feeling on top of the world, but he's always going to be prone to a crash after it.
