naw i think lara is on the same level as trout and canelo. hell i think he is a better boxer and harder puncher then trout. i **** with them cubans almost all of them can box well. lara aint no push over and is a threat to anyone he faces at 154.

That has to be expected when a fighter always fights competent opposition. However, if you fight 51 cabsters(Chavez Sr. style) then only step-up once, you will definitely look good all the way and guarantee a big payday.

Canelo isn't half the pressure fighter Angulo is.

    (Well, ok, maybe half.)

Lara would likely outbox him. He'd definitely trouble Floyd with his movement and angles.

    YDASAB.

Lara would beat Alvarez and probably Mayweather as well. Though beating FMJ would be about size not skill levels.

No way Alvarez would have survived that kind of pressure. Let alone survived it and landed the shots required to stop it. All you need to do is see how Alvarez turtled up and got battered against Gomez. The ref saved Alvarez from a lopsided points loss.

WTF? You sound like you are confused. Lara does not have more Boxing skill nor punch technique. Their amateur and pro careers says it all.

Lara however is a skilled Boxer. Lara might just be too big. It would be a boring fight with Lara's size and reach making the difference.

Looking tough against jr welter Josesito Lopez doesn't eclipse Lara's performance against 175 lbs angulo.

lol, angulo looked worse than ive ever seen him and on esb it makes him better than he was ever considered to be. he was never even thought of as a real threat to the throne but him putting lara on his ass twice, proves that lara beats everyone at 154... yeah, that makes sense.

Right. That was some of the worst footwork ever.

I actually think lara's movement would be a big problem for floyd as he tends to pick fighters specifically suited for his own style, plus he's a southpaw.....

I don't understand? You sound silly. Look at the amateur careers.

WTF does, his shots are straighter even mean? Mayweather's best punch is the cross and jab. How is his footwork better? When has Mayweather ever been in that much trouble from a pressure fighter? Never.

It has crap to do with thinking it is impossible. It is because Lara isn't what you are making him out to be. If most cuban fighters are better than Mayweather, why didn't they beat him in the amateurs? Lara lost 4 times to Aragon. FOUR TIMES. Guess who Aragon lost too? Right. Mayweather.

I am a huge fan of Lara. Cubans are excellent fighters. Mayweather however is in a class of his own. You don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Again, you prove you don't know WTF you are talking about. I have Boxed you *****.

Put up facts idiot. Mayweather beat Aragon. The same Aragon who beat Lara FOUR TIMES. Aragon had to step down to allow Lara to even compete for Cuba. Lara was GIVEN his spot.

    Mayweather > Aragon > Lara

    Get it?

Lara is not over rated. He was hurt by a top boxer and came back to outbox him, Gamboa has been through similar situations and written off.

Completely different weights though. A lot of boxers get better with a move up in weight. I'm not saying Lara is a better but this theory proves nothing.

Sorry. Weights matter less in the am game as it is about points.

I am a huge fan of Lara. I have been a fan since his pro-debut. I was the only person backing Lara in the stands in my section at the fight. I was so pro-Lara that a random Cuban guy came to ask me if I was "Cubano" and another lady asked me to stop so they wouldn't throw beer on her(me). I ride for Lara. Don't make this about me being biased against him. (Not you, the other guy)

Lara is now prime. Lara is an exceptional fighter. Lara could possible beat Mayweather. Lara is still not a better skilled fighter than Mayweather. If you made them the exact same size, prime for prime, nobody in their right mind would pick Lara over PRIME Mayweather. NOBODY. :deal
