JMM averaged 38 punches per round in that fight. Floyd usually throw 40 punches per round anyways, so what difference does it make that JMM threw combo punches, he still didn't threw that much and still outboxed Manny. Floyd would limit Manny's best weapon, and land his punches much more accurately on Manny than JMM did.

JMM has always had the huge cahones. far more than mayweather could ever dream of. I still wanna see pac-floyd as styles make fights and manny can move well laterally and punch with power. remember a washed up mosley stagger floyd...and pac dominated mosely. it is all styles.

Was that the implication you got from reading my post? That you think that I'm calling him an idiot?

It's now how many punches you throw, it's from what sequence and position you throm them from. Mayweather relies on timing lead rights and lefts, and controlling the range.

Marquez is able to time Pacquiao so perfectly because he bobs and weaves under his incoming shots, landing them both on the inside from the lunges, and punishes him on the inside....or, he turns the angle left by constantly rotating and slipping and taking advantage of the angle with consistent feints and occasional spurts of initiative aggression.

Mayweather's usual plan of controlling the range and setting the tempo (either going backwards or forwards) anchors him either on the back or lead foot, and someone with the incredible footspeed of Pacquiao will be able to take advantage of those momentary instances of immobility. Pacquiao can turn the angle faster than Floyd; Marquez can match that rhythm- what will 2011 Floyd be able to do out of his favored pace and distance?

    We have yet to see.

    LOL @ you.....

Unless you stand right in front of Pac and slug with him he is utterly lost. Fact. He has not changed a god damn thing , period, just genius marketing and careful matching with washed up/weightdrained/part time fighters or coming of career ending previous beat downs ........he CANNOT box for ****.

He still cannot cut off the ring

has poor defense and gets hit with the same shots over and over and over again

joke of a jab, just a range finder

don't like it to the body

and is a fool for straight rights, hell, even if you tried you can't miss him.

lunges in and is way off balance

    don't move his head

cannot adapt for **** and Ring IQ of a house mouse

    overrated power

I invite you to search my past Pac post history and I said from day one that a FMJ/Pac fight will be a complete let down because of the huge gap in talent between the two, Pac will get stopped late or looses a ridiculous loopsided decision.

Aurum knows it, Roach knows it......that is the reason why the **** they have not fought, they just want to keep the cashcow alive, lol, but JMM did not lay down with this "new and improved" killer Pac and exposed him one more time what he really is, a one trick pony. Fact.

I could say the same **** about Floyd. A poorly conditioned JMM, a shot to **** Mosley, beat DLH (who himself was past-it) and did so un-impressively (thanks to his lack of lateral movement against feinting, come-forward fighter)...this is not how you determine the winner of a hypothetical bout. Each fight has different circumstances, and you fail to address the nuances I laid out.

I don't care about your post history. If you think Floyd has an easy time with Pacquiao, you're deluded. He may win, but if you can't see the fact that Marquez's strategic footwork and versatility of punching angles is something that Floyd is not likely to duplicate and implement into his own counter-punching, then you're just ignoring the reality of the sport we call boxing. Floyd has a great chance since he's just so good at what he does, but as I said; he fights in straight lines and anchors himself either on the back or front foot, making someone with the footspeed and variety of punching angles like Pacquiao does a very live opponent.

Yeah, you have a rude awakening coming, he WILL get counterpunched to DEATH and if you think FMJ has no pop you are sadly mistaken. One more time, unless you stand right in front of him swinging for the fences with your chin sticking out a la Cotto, Hatton or the clubfighter Margerito he has NO answer. Period.

He got gunshy against grandpa JMM...........brace yourself for a complete disappointment.

And if you think I am a FMJ you are wrong but he got the midgets number 24/7.

I think people still ignore the fact that Marquez puts himself in position to be hit in order to counter Pacquiao, something Floyd CANNOT do. You could see the results on Marquez face. FLOYD CANNOT FIGHT THE SAME FIGHT MARQUEZ DID.

well said pacquiao was lost when cotto and Mosley both began to move. Mosley just can't pull the trigger anymore. Pacquiao can't fight right hand dominant boxers. It's clear as day.

Exactly. Because Mayweather is known to go for KOs and Manny has shown us once again he's a master counter puncher. :-(
