Wlad totally outclassed one of the other champions. He's outclassing all the top contenders because he is the best heavyweight today. He would be competetive in any era based on his height, reach, skill, etc. All you Wlad haters love to knock him when he wins , and you knock him when he loses. Show the guy some respect. Without him, the division would be ruled by Ruiz

There are many more haters than boxing fans on ESB.

I watched since the early 50's and i can not understand the hate that is given to any good fighter.
Some one wins a split decidon and the other was exposed, and is a bum.
Some one loses a good hard well fought fight, and he's a bum....

I am glad I didn't keep up with the fads....

What the hell do you guys do if you turn on a fight where you don't know the fighters, you know an Interconti or US national title or a ten round undercard fight?

How soon does it take, to hate one of the fighters?:huh

I am not a hater, but if you throw him in the 70's, he would be outclassed and outgunned by many. I still feel it is a weak era right now in the HW division and it will stay that way until someone arrives like another Tyson, Ali, Louis, Lennox, and even a Foreman. To me, he will never be great. He is good and most of the thanks should go to Manny.

Wlad is really building himself an incredible resume...so few other modern day fighters have faced as many top 10 guys in their division and being as successful doing so in the process !!

Wlad's chin would not hold up well if he fought his prime years in the 90's, I would favor Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe, Mercer, and Ibeabuchi over him. I would also like to say Tua, Morrison, Ruddick, Marovic, Bruno, and McCall would all stand a decent chance of beating him as well.

    Excellent point.

I laugh when people say a 6'2" 210lbs Ali would be no competition for Wvlad. Give me a break.

Wvlad is one of the ATG. Period. 90%+ KO rate and not a single HW can last with him in the ring. Let the haters hate all they want. They are delusional.

There's nothing to hate on the guy except for the racist assholes because he is a European.

The guy takes care of business . . . and wins.

My man, no nostalgia is clouding my head. With Tyson, most of the fighters were beaten before they got in the ring. Ali was another champ who did the same. I never mentioned anything about easily beating Vlad or even mentioned his brother who I feel is better. The Soviets would have added to Ali and other resumes. The amatuers showed you that. I could say the same if the let the Cubans fight back then and that would stick much better then what you are stating about the Soviets. There is no hunger here with the Americans as far as HW division. The European fighters are good and are taking over due to the Americans not having the hunger as yester year. I give Chagaev much credit, but I truly fear for Vlad due to the cut and blood. I hope it was worth fighting a fighter with Hep B. He is talented, but like I said, he is just good or very good. I still would like to see Haye fight him to see if he is the real thing or not.

There would always be haters. Wlad doesn't give a damn, and you should. It's a part of business. Otherwise he would probably spend a couple of years struggling with drugs, alcohol, crazy paparazzies like Britney Spears. Instead he feels pretty good, leaving people on their own with their thoughts and attitudes.
Everyone saw he's extremely dominating. But also they saw an extremely cautious champion. SOme think he's wise, some think he's chicken. So what?

I say he consider himself as a champion for at least next 5 years and this is his primary goal, and everything else doesn't matter.

So he is an ATG? Ali would beat him. Of course Vlad would give him a fight, but would lose to the smarter Ali. What does his height and weight have to do with it. Louis did it with Primavera and his name escapes me right now, but the other fighter not Sanders, KO'ed him and he is no where near Vlad's height. Again, respect for his winning ways and for fighting the crop of top ten fighters this eras has. The 70's and 90's, he would have a hell of a time keeping a record like the one he has now.
