yep, this is why everyone says the HW's suck, both looked like **** and i expected it to look this way as well. but as usual, only the kli-tites are getting a chub out of this abysmal performance
126-147 has carried boxing the past 20 years imho...we had a few brief periods of good heavyweight fights, but not consistently enough..
And how many fights have I seen that were broing in the lighter weights? Vitali fought, Johnson did nothing by try to survive.
Heavyweight division is the same thing over. Klits dominate. It's not their fault they're in the time of a weak but improving division. My favorite divisions are the WW, JWW, and MW.
you wouldn't know talent even if it dropped on your bigot head farmboxer. if the fighter isn't white you dont give a ****, which is why you dont care for the lower classes since they're dominated by the minorities.
Less money?, do they charge you more to order depending on weight class? About more heart, I don't think anyone here will disagree that Arreola recently showed what heart really means fighting Vitali. There are bigger names in the lower weight divisions because there are better fighters, simple as that. There's no reason to **** on everyone in the heavyweight division because it's lacking compared to other divisions.
Vitali's got talent. I mean his level has obviously dropped since he came out of retirement. Compare his fight vs Danny Williams to his fight against Arreola and you'll see what I'm talking about. But still, he's got some skills. His performance against Johnson was boring but effective. I had him winning every single round. I can't ask more than that. Its too bad he wasn't able to knock him out though. I think pre-comeback he would have thrown in more body shots and it would've served him well. Also, Johnson fought the right style. It would have been dumb for him to open up just to get ktfo.
:huh  :? Considering we're rapidly approaching possibly the biggest PPV fight in history, and it ain't at heavyweight, I'm kinda confused about this one. I know it's traditionally the most well-paying division. But times do, and have, changed.
I don't imagine Jung Koo Chang, Myung-Woo Yuh, Gilberto Roman, and Humberto Gonzalez were ever subjected to million-dollar pay days.
Myung-woo? Anyway, all the million dollar paydays and recognition are in lower weight divisions these days. When was the last time we heard of a multi-million heavyweight fight?, Lewis vs Tyson?
There is more money in the Heavyweight division...historically than there will ever be between 126lbs-105lbs. The point is abundantly clear. The Heavyweight division gets more notoriety than the "little guys", and it's hard to imagine why that is these days.
HW's have always been a hit or miss group of fighters. The difference is in LL, Vander, Tyson, Holmes reigns, there was always a great war mixed in here and there to keep you interested. The Klitschko era has been the most boring one in modern boxing history, and the sport would be up for **** creek if not for Oscar, Floyd, and Pac
