[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiUSNMAiOGk[/ame] Never will I forgot, such a moment in boxing. Lampley didn't overdo it at all.
He was stunned, but then he was floored. Or wait, he was both. At the same time. Ah God what does it MEAN!!!!?!?!?!?!?! This content is protected
Love Lamp's call on this one. "That is correct! There's a brand new middleweight champion; he's from Youngstown, Ohio!"
Fight should've been stopped in the 2nd round when JT had Pavlik doing the Buckeye shuffle. At least now we know that Pavlik was all hype... Now he's just the champion of rehab. :yep
I'm pretty sure I do. Pavlik was regarded as the next boxing star in the US: young, undefeated, power-punching, WHITE... This was before a 60 year old Hopkins taxed that ass and exposed him as a drunk fraud. :yep
Great fight. Pavlik showed a ton of heart by getting back up in the 2nd and taking the fight to JT. That had to completely demoralize JT mentally. Knowing that he threw everything he had at the guy and Pavlik got back up and kept coming. I know that would demoralize me.
I never once believed in the hype of Kelly Pavlik, but I did fall into the hype of Jermaine Taylor. To me, all Pavlik did was walk in straight lines and look to land that right hand. I felt any real boxer would take him to school. I'm glad Hopkins proved my point. Jermaine Taylor on the other hand didn't use his brain as always. I was pretty much sick of him by that point. The usual shitty defense while carrying his arms to damn low, no head movement to speak of, and when he had KP hurt all he did was try to hook him to death until he tired himself out. I mean damn, would it kill you to throw a uppercut, or a straight punch, or maybe even toss a body shot in there for a change.atsch
