Yes Smoger needs to let these guys fight. He was awful here and on Friday with Wolak vs Delvin. He should learn from Joe Cortez and try to be more invisible. People pay to see the fighters not the ref constantly getting involved.

It was very memorable and one of my favorite fights. Lennox Lewis also pulled out an ATG commentating performance that night.:patsch

Pavlik is another case of wasted potential. I wasn't a huge fan of the guy, but I'm still pretty disturbed by the way that his career fell off. To insinuate that he was a "great white hype" before his problems started is ridiculous.

Dude could have crafted a real legacy for himself if he'd kept his drinking in check. He's also one of many fighters, like Devon Alexander and Paul Williams, who'll never reach their full potential because of their refusal to abandon their childhood trainers and seek out one of the top guys in the sport.

Hopkins ruined Pavlik, Taylor, Winky, Tito, Pascal, Tarver, Lipsey. Hopkins ruins careers.

Now that was a fight. I couldn't believe at the time that the fight wasn't stopped in the 2nd round but as soon as Taylor touched the canvas it was out! What a great fight!

Taylor might've "won" both fights but he was never the same. He made Taylor look very ordinary.

I never ever had any faith in Taylor. In my humble opinion, he just a media hype job. I saw him losing both fights with BHop and the one with Winkey. He got placed in the line of fire by Media and judges partially pursuaded by media hype. When he had to stand on his own he wasnt up to the task, hence a victim of several brutal knockouts.:bbb:bbb:bbb

This is why Pavlik will always hold a special place in my heart as being the man who decimated two of my most hated fighters at the time when he beat the ever loving **** out of Edison Miranda, and then dropped Jermain Taylor like a sack of bricks ending his fraudulent reign as middleweight champ.

Bless you Kelly you lovable alcoholic.
