a lotta people picked rubio to give ggg a good fight....the thing is, ggg fights a lotta very weak comp and gets all this hype all around him like he's really doing something...that turns a lotta fans off. nobody REALLY expected rubio to beat ggg...but they were hoping he would at least be able to mount some kind of challenge...who knew that rubio was a shell of the fighter he once was?

people WANT to like ggg...but not for beating geale and adama or a washed up rubio. it feels like he's being forced down people's throats by HBO, so the natural backlash is to want to see him get exposed.

He sure doesn't have a tight a defense, that is what I have been seeing since they started with the GGG hype. When people were calling for a Martinez vs GGG I always thought Martinez power and movement would've been too much for GGG. The thing is though that his defense is his offense. Martinez is long gone from prime but now I am starting to think that Canelo, if the fight is done, has the speed to put GGG on check. Rubio, Stevens had their moments and GGG just retreats in a straight back line when it happens.

i'm just saying, james delarosa beats alfredo angulo and gets no recognition. ggg stops geale and adama and stevens and people act like he's the next srl...all that undeserved hype annoys people and makes them turn against a fighter. if ggg doesn't make money for HBO, they'll eventually stop hyping him up and he'll have to fight some real tough comp...maybe then he'll the respect of fans like jacory harris.

Who do you suggest he fights at MW? None want to fight him! They, the haters, are asking GGG to move up for Ward, some even say to move to 175lbs. Come on, why is Ward always getting his way? Why doesn't Ward move up for Kovalev, Stevenson?

To be fair, they ought to take away Rubio's Mexican citizenship after that pathetic performance. He gave it a round and chucked it after that.
Garcia is becoming an over rated trainer and seems to have no idea how to make his fighters come in on weight. They deserve each other.

You have no idea how boxing economics work.

You think less hype is going to get guys like Canelo and Cotto in the ring with GGG? You can't bring less fans, less hype, and less money to the table and expect to land better opponents.

No you're all wrong here, people love GGG because he's most exciting boxer at the moment, but boring featherfisted guys like ward, floyd being forced down peoples throats . Floyd doesn't have many fans at all his "fans" are his haters, people buy floyd ppv , not because he's exciting , but because they want to see him lose, that's all, while GGG attracts people because he's exciting!!
