    chris henry lost that fight
having said that, if diaconu gets handed the belt, he's just another paper champion until he makes his first defense against a legitimate fighter and then he'll be another ex-paper champion
i'm surprised the guy even has fans, esp ones as ardent as the ones on this site

Diaconu is crap. He KO'd a **** figher in Rico Hoye and he's the next Tyson... give me a damn break. He looked like crap against another crap fighter in Chris Henry.

Why should the CHAMP have to travel to a guy's home country to defend? That's crap, and you know it.

Because that's what happens when you have a manditory challenger and your promoter isn't willing to stump up enough cash to have the fight where you would choose.

...or the damn Romania's bid too high for it, even knowing there was a good chance the fight wouldn't happen, thus assuring Diaconu becoming champ.

It's a suprise to me the fight not happening, there's no financial or sporting reason for Dawson not to fight in Bucharest.

I guess if he does fight Tarver next then at least it will look like a tactical manaeouvre. If Dawson fights anyone other than Tarver then he will be a complete laughing stock.

I think it's safe to assume that if Diaconu held the belt, Dawson was the manditory and the fight was scheduled for the US, you wouldn't be posting " Why should the CHAMP have to travel to a guy's home country to defend? That's crap, and you know it."...

Another reason why Dawson should get away from that POS Gary Shaw and get with a real promoter like Arum, King or Golden Boy. He's a young good American boxer that should have better promotion than what he's getting from that MMA loving Shaw.

esti ye tellement fif dawson va te battre encaisse ton cheque et ferme ta gueule!

Seriously wtf Diaconu is not exactly Roy Jones Jr.

Dawson should just man up, take the fight in Romania. Win, lose or draw he can live to fight another day.

This is bull****. I don't have anything personal against either man, but this fight should just happen so each can get it over with and move on. I don't like seeing young, relatively unproven champions drop a belt like this- especially when if Chad just took this fight and won, the fight vs Tarver would be a unification fight and be that much bigger. His promoters are acting like he's a 10 year champion on his last legs and that he doesn't need to fight young fighters like Diaconu, but he's not. Not yet, unless he plans on retiring early.

They should just take the Diaconu fight, collect that 7 figure check, and then go for unification. Fighting Adrian also a good test to see how he comes back after the Johnson fight.

First off boxers in general deserve respect for risking their lives in the ring and secondly categorizing a fighter as a coward who has faced top notch competition like Johnson and Adamek only demonstrates a rank ignorance of his achievements.

I would also add that from your perspective if Diaconu were ever to face Dawson and win that would make Diaconu's victory meaningless and if Diacaonu were to lose it would make him a fighter who lost to coward and a *****.

I realize you Diaconu fans are just talking out of your ass but your words are so stupid that they will come back and bite you in the ass.

I have respect for Diaconu and what he has achieved but the only thing you Diaconu fanatics are proving is that Diaconu has some of the worst fans in boxing.

Don't blame him. He's obviously chasing Tarver.
