Safe to say Pascal via split decision?

    The belgium judge is corrupted.

The ref is alright but nothing special.

Claude Paquette hasn't been scored anything controversial in a while.

Hopkins' workrate is so poor that he's going to have trouble racking up rounds. There's no doubt that Hopkins is light years ahead of Pascal skillwise. If one thing is for sure, this is going to points.

Tough one to call this but I'm going to favour a hometown decision. Hopkins will be the better boxer but the hometown crowd will sway the judges.

The referees were chosen by the WBC... But yes, the Belgian is super corrupted. He gave a 114-113 scorecard for Selcuk Aydin vs Jo Jo Dan (AKA Ionut Dan Ion).:scaredas: For those who didn't see the fight:

I don't even understand why both teams agreed to this judge...

Paquette has scored 33% of Pascal's pro career, just twice since 2007 but that doesn't favor B-HOP much.

Don't think it means anything. Most fighter have the same few hometown judges scoring their fights when they're young.

Oki the belgian is kind of corrupt or a hometown ref, we got a ref and judge from quebec.
Take that in mind alongside with hopkins' low workrate, pascals speed and style and hopkins performance vs jones. I would say Pascal to win is a very safe bet(even ud is safe) Place your bets gentlemen. Besides money im going to place im willing to place a avatar bet against someone who thinks hopkins wins this.
I would love to see him pull it off but i believe his tank is empty.

For Hopkins to win 7 rounds in Quebec with his low work rate and tendency to gas... I tend to agree with you.

But Hopkins is so crafty, could he have something up his sleeve?

To me it means, even though he scored Pascal when he was at the beggining it still means because he is accostumed to see him(never seen B-HOP), now that he will see a different Pascal from the one he saw when he became "accostumed" he will see something different, which may benefit Pascal on his card.
