We had 4½ Heavyweight Champions of the World just a month ago:

4. Oleg Maskaev - WBC

5. Samuel Peter - WBC Interim

Now we are down to 3:

1. Wladimir Klitschko - IBF/WBO/IBO

2. Samuel Peter - WBC

3. Ruslan Chagaev - WBA

I put Peter ahead of Chagaev since Ruslan tried for a ***** fight vs. Krasniqi..............

The "ball" is in Chagaev's court, he needs to step it up or become irrelevant.

 

We've still seen some serious progress made with 2 of the beltholders out of the mix.

 

I know, it's about time we had some clarity in this division.

I just hope the sanctioning bodies don't line up too many bogus mandatory defenses to keep the rest from playing itself out.
