Did people really see him as a saviour? He wasn't like by the majority of UK fans before, was never a big draw, his winning performance against Wlad was ciritcised as much for it's passivity as it was lauded for it's dominance. I for one never saw him as a saviour, he was just a stop gap champion before someone better and more dominant would come along, he was always too erratic and too ill disciplined to ever be a long term champion.

Not everybody for sure, but the hardcore Fury fans and specially the Klitschko haters (and we have many of them here). For them, Fury was for month the savior of the HW Division and he would bring exitement back.
