Anyone know what he is doing now-a-days? Years ago I heard he was down on his luck - unemployed, broke and divorced. Have things improved? Would like to know.

Bob Arum tried to match Foreman against Ecklund during the early stages of Foreman's comeback, but according to Arum, Foreman said that Ecklund "hit too hard" and he (Foreman) would not fight him.

Can't see this. Even early on, Foreman fought Bert Cooper and Qawi, and of course, once he got going, Cooney. No offense to Ecklund, but he never was upper echelon.

I googled the news. Sad to hear this, but thanx for the reply. Seems he caught a lot of flak over a so-so career.

    Sorry to hear about Anders.

Wow, sorry to hear of his passing. Like many, of course, I remember his fight with Witherspoon well. While he was not world class, he was a decent European contender. RIP
