As I understand and corect me if I'm wrong an UFC match goes 5 five minute rounds 25 minuets of fighting. 8 3 minuet rounds = 24 minuets of fighting. I think that Silva's best and probbly only chance is an early round ko. Jones being the experanced boxer would have a huge advantage in the later rounds.

This idea that this would end in less than a minute is nonsense. Sure I'd pick Jones to win, but not in under a minute. Personally I think the most likely outcome is Silva gets disqualified. When you're an elite fighter you tend to fight mostly on instinct..and this would mean Silva would likely resort to blows that while legal in MMA would be illegal in boxing. If not a Silva lose on disqualification, then he losses to Jones either by KO or a lopsided decision.

    That is absolutely ridiclious.

I've watched a fair few UFC fights and some of those were Tim Sylvia fights. The guy has absolutely no talent on his feet whatsoever, he just has heavy hands. He wouldn't win any belts at the top level in boxing, and the same applies for anyone else in UFC. The difference is huge.

That Leben guy Anderson Silva demolished in that video. Imagine what Roy would have done to that kid.

It doesn't matter if it's only 1 round, the difference in class will be apparent from the openeing bell.:deal

Jones destroys Silva in a sanctioned boxing match with 10 oz gloves. Silva destroys Jones in the cage under UFC rules.

So you think that a guy not fit to fight boxers we label as bums could go any distance at all with someone like Jones? You are deluded.

24minutes? 24 seconds if he runs... if he fights its over quicker.

I'm not the least bit deluded. I'm not saying that Silva would win an 8 round decision but I am saying that the longer the fight goes the more aparent Jones supority over him will become. We are also talking about Roy Jones of 2008 and not 1998. I dobut very much that Silva would even be chalanging the 1998 version.Roy Jones Jr.

Silva would also destroy Roy in an all out striking match, where they could use kicks, knees, elbows, clinch, ect...

In other words. Silva is a better striker, and a much greater fighter... Jones is a better boxer.

those are the statistics they allowed us to know....Im not gonna say Rampage cant hit, he knocks the **** out of most his opponents, but they had freaking Chris Byrd as the boxer to compare his power to....the lightest hitting heavyweight contender of the last 15 or so years. Now lets measure Klitschko's power or Sam Peters....Im quite sure these world class boxers hit harder, and they also have better punching technique.

Why would I do that? Do you like to **** fighters that you think are great? It's odd that you would see a post about a man's fighting ability, and immediately think about gay sex. Have you talked to anyone about these homosexual thoughts that seem to be on your mind?

...in the same way Spyder will own RJJ in a MMA match, RJJ will own Spyder, on a boxing match....is a fact...now I beleive that SpYder will represent better in boxing than RJJ in MMA

Anderson's one of my fav. MMA fighters. I've been a fan of his since he was a regular on pride. He has excellent all around skills, and is probably one of the best strikers in the MMA game.

Having said that, I'd pick Money Making Mayweather over him in a boxing match. It would look like RJJ vs. John Ruiz. :D
