Well, the fact that Jones is old might make it somewhat entertaining. Hopefully he's old enough to make it a fight instead of just schooling Silva.

I just hope Silva attempts the Ali shuffle like he did in his last boxing fight. It'll go down on one of the funniest knockouts ever and will be on everyones highlight reel :nut

There is surely something prohibitive in his UFC contract that doesn't allow him to sign any other contract. However unless Jones gets knocked out cold again (see Tarver, Johnson fights) I can assure that this fight WILL happen. There has been ongoing conversations between Jones and Silva for months. It won't happen though until the summer of 2010 and only after Silva's contract with the UFC has expired.

Anderson silva has signed his death warrant if he has indeed signed a contract to fight roy jones. no matter how faded jones will demolish and squash the spider inside of a minute would be my guess unless roy wants to play with him first.

Dont be dillusional man, Silva has been stopped by a journey man and beat an 0-0 fighter.

Jones is miles and miles, even at his age, better than them.

    Andersons gona get a whoopin.

Why RJJ? RJJ is a good fighter but he isn't as special anymore.

    Oh well, I'll be watching.

Well the chances of that happening are extremely thin. And by the time this happens if it happens RJJ is going to be in his mid 40's and years and years out of title contention. Silva is not going to be able to get out of that UFC contract for a long time.

    I doubt this happens.

great, now all the mindless fight fans of the world will consider this a megabout/superfight. this fight is a joke and is a step in the complete opposite direction of putting together meaningful crossover bouts. Lets see some boxers under the age of 35 crossover to mma.
