at this stage of his mma career, i suggest he sticks with the middleweight division. there will be up and comers who will be calling out on him every now and then..

moving up at 205lbs might not be a good thing. its a highly competitive and dangerous division to be in. Even Bisping and Sakara decided to move down to middleweight to gain better chances of winning

    Agreed!

Jackson packs one hell of a punch and may prove to be a bridge too far. Silva should stay where he is and become a legend.

I don't know anyone who isn't an Anderson Silva fan. The man is pure class.

A.Silva is undoubtedly best p4p AFTER FEDOR.

JK, Its Silva, Rampage, Fedor for top3 p4p right now. Silva is insane. Good work.

I have to give Anderson Silva the nod as #1 P4P MMA.

    . . . after Randy Couture.

Just kidding too. Silva is the total package. And he's a Bruce Lee fan to boot. ;)

Greatest, no. Fedor still holds that. p4p top Silva takes it cause of Fedors inactivity.

In my opinion, Anderson "Spider" Silva no. 1 P4P in UFC and not the whole of MMA just yet..

Fedor had a fight against Hong Man Choi not long ago (Dec. 31, 2007). Fedor won via armbar submission over a 7 ft. 2 in. behemoth..:good

    Yep. Basically.

I wll say right now that not only is he the best in the world, but the best MMA fighter of all time. Fedor is really the only competition, and he's too busy fighting bums. Anderson is cleaning out the best of the best from each org. What an incredible fighter. He gets even better than I thought each time I watch him.

I disagree, how does Fedor rank above Silva? Fedor's run in his prime was similar to Anderson's, but Anderson is taking on the best of the best from both orgs(and dminating them al), instead of fighting bums, no mater what the excuses.

If Fedor fights Couture and wins I`d definitely rank him ahead of Anderson. A win over someone like Barnett might also suffice.

Being virtually undefeated bar a technicality aswell as having ATG names like Big Nog CC and Mark Coleman, a list of decent names like Fujita Sobral Arona Herring Schilt Goodridge Hunt and Randleman isnt something to be gauped at. Fedor is still the greatest of all times with a record like that. Couple this with his great sub defense submissions and GNP and you have the most complete fighter in MMA.

CC and Nog were his huge wins(one of which has been made not to look as good in recent times), other than that, he's had some good second tier wins, but has been doing nothing for the past few years.

Arona was a MUCH better win that an old fart like Coleman anyways, and a lot of people beieve Fedor lost to Arona. Very good resume, probably still the best overall, but Anderson seems more dominant. What he just did was the equivalent of Fedor stopping Cro Cop or Nogueira.
