I actually think that GSP has the style(if he comes out with right gameplan) to beat Silva at 170. He can certainly take him down and I think he'll be able to do what he did in his last 2 fights. Just GNP it out.

Anderson is TEH GOD. You actually believe that he can beat Tim Sylvia. I don't really wanna try to rationalize with you.

Sure he can beat Sylvia..Sylvia is a plodding stiff.. Silva will leg kick him to submission and he can reach him within range all night with Sylvias heavy hands at arms lenght.

I cant see Silvia touching Anderson really..Anderson just needs to come out at 200 just like he always does to maintain the big speed advantage.

Silva wont be afraid ala Vera..thats for sure..when Vera opened up he did well..and hes nowhere near Silva standing

Sylvia has no ground game..hes good at defending on the ground but he ll never go for the takedown

Silva will chop that tree down worse than Ruas crumbled Varelans.

Lure him into the armbar? Anderson was getting pummelled from full mount and LUTTER decided to go for a very sloppy arm bar attempt. Wether you want to admit it or not Lutter was gassed in that fight and it was plain to see. He was trying to loose the extra poundage to make weight and it sucked the life out of him.

Yes, LURE him into the armbar. What do you think was with him throwing his hands straight up in the air? That is a technique used to escape when someone has you mounted, as long as you don't actually get caught.

So he was gassed from the opening bell? That is complete bull****. You're acting like I'm out of line here, which is what is funny when you're considering a guy gassed from the start of the fight just because he had a couple problems making weight. He fought better than he ever had in that fight prior to getting his ass subbed.

Is that why he was in the Sauna pre fight trying to loose the extra poundage? The guy was dry as bone. Dont kid yourself.

It shows how good Lee Murray was and could have been. Murray was a rookie when he fought Silva and lost on points but rocked Silva too.
Sparked Ortiz in a street fight and then neglected training and went out on the **** all the time. Gets stabbed in the heart and then after getting himself back in shape after being declared dead 4 times on the operating table he goes and does a £53 million hold up and is on the run in Morocco.:patsch

C'mon... I like Silva too, but let's be honest here. Lutter looked like absolute death going back to his corner after round 1. He was really owning Silva in that fight. He was taking him down with ease, and passing Silva's guard like he didn't even have one. I honestly think that Lutter wins that fight if he wasn't so dead. Next fight may be different, because I am sure that Silva keeps improving too.

Agreed. I watched that fight on CR and certainly didnt expect him to go the distance but he held his own and really looked the part. His such a waste of talent. When they found him that nerk was on the run under his Morrocan name.. Such a waste.

This is an old trick..giving your arms for an armbar..and springing up as soon as the guy takes it...JJ 101

Right, or u can get your face destroyed. W/e A.Silva was trying to do there ONLY worked because Lutter was exhausted. In BJJ separating your arms like that is simply ******ed and its not BJJ 101, and if it is BJJ its advanced BJJ that you have to be masterful to actually succeed. Its stupid is what that is.

I still think GSP is the better athlete between the two, but getting knocked out by Serra (fluke or not) propelled Silva ahead of GSP.

GSP aint GOD no GOD gets koed by a midget. God loses a close fight, a heartbreaker..they dont tap to punches (submission yes). I was the biggest GSP fan before but I lost some respect when he tapped to Serra.

GSP vs. Silva..lets not go there.

Serras getting in my nerves as well, he needs to get beat down to put him back to earth. I hope he fights Hughes and knock one another out.
