No ****. Isn't this glass jawed joke supposed to be one of their best fighters??:yep So much for the absurd notion that this crap is better than boxing! :yep
Also Dana White's profanity laced angry response when questioned at the press conference about whether the fight was fixed. I think there was something fishy also when Dana was pressed on Silva's performance at Abu Dhabi and how it compared to Silva's performance last night. After Abu Dhabi, Dana was really pissed off at Silva for showboating and "stalling", but here he pretty much did the same thing, only he got knocked out, and Dana was praising Anderson Silva to the high heavens saying it was a great fight. I can read body language pretty good and Dana's responses seemed forced and fake. I don't know what to make of last night to be honest. All I know is Silva wanted a fight with Roy Jones. Dana was in "talks" with Roy Jones after having a reputation for not letting UFC fighters consider non-UFC fights. The whole thing was very fishy I got to be honest. Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything, just a gut feeling. I know I'm not alone in being a little skeptical of what happened last night.
Because when an MMA fighter fixes a fight, he's not going to simply let himself get submitted. No, better to let yourself get knocked out cold with your head bouncing off the mat. I'd buy that for a dollar!
its the esb forums. a lot of idiots here. silva was toying with chris and paid the price. a motivated Anderson will wreck Weidman in a rematch.
That fight was not fixed. If it were, then Anderson would've just allowed Weidman to submit him. Why the **** would he risk brain damage like that? He got caught with a shot he didn't see coming. Which is the worst type of shot. That and people are really underestimating what happens when you get hit by guys sporting those gloves. I think that Anderson felt that Weidman had shown him everything he had, and was trying to break him down mentally. And that **** did not work. When your as good as Anderson, you don't need mind games.
Silva got owned, I normally don't think a fighter losing is embarrassing, but Silva just lost in a truly embarrassing way. Wow
Its horrible. Weidman held his nerve and accomplished mission impossible.... yet you got these idiots calling a fix :-verysad:barf
Silva did the same thing that Nate Campbell did against Robbie Peden; paid the same dire price. Thing is, Campbell lost to Peden in the rematch; in part because the Aussie wanted to prove the first result wasn't a fluke. Think the same thing might also apply here. Weidman proved himself capable of keeping his cool, and even before the KO proved himself capable of staying competitive with Silva in terms of stand-up, as well as being able to take him down. The new champ has got a number of ways to win against Silva...and I think he'll find one of those ways in the rematch.
His Chin is awful. He is lucky his Division has been so void of talent. With a Chin like that I wouldn't even fight.
