    This fight was fixed because:

    1) The fight was hyped way above its potential.

    2) The hype generated so much cash that a rematch was too tempting. AS needed to loose to make a rematch happen/possible/likely. No experienced champion acts like a disrespectful clown the way AS did unless something fishy surrounded the fight. Perhaps somebody whispered in AS's ears. "The hype can easily carry two fights. Let's go take the money".

    3) The punch who caught AS was suspect at best. Some here argues it was even fake!

    4) Once down AS was NOT finished in a brutal way which you would expect for such a high profile fight. Look at AS's face afterwards. No real harm done by Weidman.

    5) The ****-poor speech AS gave post fight suggested that something wasn't right surrounding this fight. Listening to AS talk about "respect" post fight after showing a complete lack of it during the fight made him come across as an even bigger clown than he appeared to be in the octagon.

    1) The fight was the main event of a PPV card involving the longest reigning and arguable most talented champion in MMA. If the UFC DIDN'T hype it they wouldn't be doing their job.

    2) Silva has fought like that many times. Most notably against Maia in The Middel East, a new lucrative market the UFC was looking to get a foothold in. Silva stunk the place out and the fight was a disaster for the UFC. If Silva was a company man to the extent he would take instructions that are 'whispered in his ears, no ****ing way would that have happened.

    3. It wasn't a great punch, but in those small gloves it was enough. AS was at full extension leaning back, he was moving to the right and into the punch. It caught him right on the chin and he was so loose and relaxed it snapped his neck round and it was the sudden rotation of his skull that lead to the Knockdown and his head hit the canvass pretty hard. One left hand that Weidman landed during GNP right as Herb stepped in was pretty ****ing hard.

    4. There was pretty much two telling blows that ended this fight. A long left hook that was clearly landed on the point of the chin and the back of his head slamming into the canvass. What facial damage would you expect to see?

    5. Anderson has always given weird interviews. English is not his first language and he had just been A) Knocked out and B) Humiliated. In the press conference he made much more sense. If it was a fix he would have had some kind of post fight speech prepared.

I think the real trouble here is that MMA is a sport that has risen during the internet era. A lot of MMA and UFC fans in particular are ****ing nerds that have read too many comic books and think guys like Silva are actual superheros. It really is simple:

    1) Weidman is arguably the best fighter Silva has faced in the UFC (between him and Hendo)
    2) Silva was getting too predictable, clowning around in every fight. Weidmans corner had a game plan for it and between rounds were telling him to 'punch a hole in his chest' in other words ignore the mind games, walk forward and throw leather.
    3) Silva was already a bit stunned from a shot that started his fake wobbly leg dance, then leaned back and was caught out by Weidmans superior reach. Grow the **** up and accept that your boy got caught and lost a fight.

Also, Brazil is a huge market for the UFC and Anderson as the longest serving champion and widely regarded P4P no1 was good for the UFC. The UFC prefer long serving champions as the can hang their brand on them. Anderson Silva was also the link between GSP and Jon Jones so HUGE potential super fights are now dead in the water. Fixing it makes no sense whatsoever. Weidman is relatively unknown and looks to have zero personality, Anderson was an established brand. This loss is bad for the UFC.

Where has everyone gone by the way? This forum/site is dead. It's awful now.

Good post El Bully. Its a shame some people have decided not to give Chris any credit for achieving mission impossible, but thats their choice i suppose. I've noticed its been pretty quiet round here too. Wonder where everyone just vanished to

Silva's "Matrix" like defense is entirely athletic and very little in the way of technical defense. Guys like mayweather or whitaker, locche etc knew exactly where they were weaving as opposed to silva's moves which really were just an imitation of moves he saw and not mastered boxing defense (learned from master boxing trainers), which is why he got caught like he did.

Funny thing is my friend said right after the same thing is going to happen to Mayweather.

I laughed a little because if anyone looks at mayweathers stance and mistakes it for hands down acting like an idiot I, needs to get there eyes examined.

    1. Four missed following punches

Weidman decks him with a nothing left: on the ground he lands a good right, Anderson supposedly goes limp, then....Weidman MISSES with 4 successive punches vs a guy OUT.

    2. Weidman= undefeated good looking american kid= mucho dinero $$$

    3. No rematch after fluke win

But hey, if the MMA is full of the same idiots posting here, it all makes sense.

Your first point is that Weedman misses with 4 punches vs a guy OUT. So what does missing with 4 or 20 punches after that have to do with Anderson Silva having a GLASS JAW and going supposedly limp ??? He looked limp to me :thumbsup Why were you hoping he was only FAKING ??? That's it isn't it? You think everyone is idiots because your a idiot in denial to Silva hitting the canvas after getting ***** slapped and then going limp. Therefore everyone is appearing to you as a IDIOT simply because you cant take getting mentally ***** slapped in the mma forum.

So hey, if that makes sense to you you COULD head to another forum where you can deceive yourself better so as you wont feel like a idiot as much :happy :good

Or you could stick around and begin to learn the ways of the MMA forum young poster :bbb

The choice has always been yours. Its what brought you here to this forum of idiot MMA fans you Jackass :hey
