now lets not forget that if liddell took him to the ground that silva is dangerous off his back with submissions as well......i personally want this fight.....either liddell vs silva or gsp vs silva

It's a pretty close fight, if only because alot of what Anderson likes to do he won't be able to.

Anderson loves to get in close, maybe get the clinch and some knees, and he really likes to slowly come forward and attack.

Chuck is just about the best ever at avoiding the clinch, and likes to have guys walking into him, basically if you get going forward and chuck is backpeddling, you stand a good chance of a quick nap.

Basically Chucks got the better power, but Silva will definatly be able to land more shots, probably more shots than anybody ever has on chuck, excluding the first Couture fight. Silvas got the better ground game, but Chuck has the far superior wrestling.

I actually picture it as a slightly boring fight until the ending if there is one, with neither uy being particuarly willing to come forward; alot of circling and pawing.

Anderson can mimic Jardine's game plan like no other.

Go and watch Chuck get dropped hard by Pele too.

    Anderson is better than both.

Hey and Chuck did'nt have the power to bother Jackson so he won't have the power to bother Silva imo.

Plus Anderons confidence is about as high as it can be right now.

This would be a huge event.

Id go with Spider, he manhandled Hendo. . . and I thought Hendo outpointed Rampage.

If Silva moves up to face Liddell.......he gets beaten soundly.

Silva is tall enough, fast enough, and technically sound enough to beat Chuck to the strike if they elect to fight in a stand-up match. Liddell needs to be prepared to attack this smaller man like he's never attacked anyone in his life. That is his only chance to stop Silva.

Lol this is a walk in the park for the Spider, he ain't the pound for pound number one for nothing, Chuck wouldn't know what to do with them high kicks tapping his head every second, and when them knees connect with his chin he'll be in serious trouble, honestly this fight would be all wrong for Chuck, Silva wouldn't have to put on that much imo and all his arsenal will still be in working order, i can't wait to see yet another piece of artistic brute force from Anderson in the 205 division :D .

Chucks style can last into old age, he's a backfoot powerpuncher. He's more Goerge Foreman than Pernell Whitaker you know?

Walk in the park my ass :fire

Chuck is 220 on fight night and is twice as powerful as Silva, way better wrestler, in fact way better on the ground generally.

This fight might in fact be style quandry for Chuck, ie a striker who can outhustle him, but hell its one for Silva sa much if not more.

If Chuck fights Silva like he does most fighters, he could be in trouble. Silva's stand-up is faster, and delivered with much better technique. Silva will be able to beat him to the strike, and beat the larger Liddell to a pulp.

Chuck does have the power to ko anyone in his division, but if he lays in wait, he'll be the one ko'd here. He will have to go for broke, and press Silva to the fence. Maybe even try to ground and pound the smaller fighter. Silva's length and flexibility make him dangerous on the ground as well.

I have a hard time seeing Chuck win this. He'll have to take the roll of a bully to do so.

You guys should watch Chucks fight against Pele, Andersons former teammate who fights nearly identically to Silva. Its not neccesarily how the fight between Silva and Liddell would turn out, but its relevant.

This is a solid fight. People saying Anderson is tiny are a little crazy. He's the same height as Chuck, and walks around at well over 200 pounds right now. Chuck will have some weight on him, but in this type of fight reach is going to be the dimension that matters. I think Anderson can win this pretty soundly.

Anderson Silva would beat the **** out of Liddell. I think Wandy or Rampage would be a more interesting matchup for Silva. What about Shogun???? Why Liddell? I was thinking the other day that a A Silva vs Machida fight might be the best fight in the UFC right now to be made.

I agree, I'm surprised so many people think Silva will just walk all over chuck...It's not going to happen....It should be a great fight i don't think anybody has the know-all to say what will happen in a fight like this...recent history should tell you....very few of us can arrogantly predict what will happen like some of you are so confidently.:deal
