With Roy's Glass Jaw you never know what can happen. If Silvia lands flush he would KO Roy no doubt about it.

Anything could happen....its just realistically speaking, More thank Likely Silva would get put to sleep if he boxed jones. Silva "COULD" KO jones but that is about as likely as Jones catching Silva in a Armbar if they were to fight in the Octagon.

For those saying Irvin was a very good MMA fighter, you're wrong. Irvin is one of the least skilled fighters I've probably ever seen. He carries power in that big body builder frame of his, that's it. Technically he's trash. If Anderson lost to him it would've been time to retire. He took care of business as he should have.

While Anderson is overall a better striker than Roy, Roy is a far better boxer. Anderson is flawed in that department.

I wouldnt give Silva a hope in hell angainst the guys in the Olympics LHW division this year, not a hope. Those same guys would not be ready for top flight boxing for another 4 years or more.

Jones may be faded but he is still top flight.

The only serious question would be who would last longer, Silva in the ring, or Jones in the cage not who would win.

ONE punch thrown ONE punch landed is all it takes. Silva can throw and land. Jones can't catch.

Juan Manuel Marquez wouldn't look like much in an MMA ring, but if it's a boxing match than he would put on a masterclass against any MMa fighter in or around his weightclass.

That's the best way I can sum it up.

what makes you think Jones would be there.:patsch

To hit Roy flush you have to hit him with something he won't see coming, no MMA fighter has the skills to set something like that up against average fighters let alone RJJ

If they boxed Roy would kill him. If Roy was in MMA in his pime against a prime Silva. Roy would ko him bad. Too fast I'm sorry

Thats the BIG question. Curious people buying it. Both boxing fans AND MMA fans buying the event = $$$.
The fight will happen if the consumers want it and the promoters will make a load of money.
Remember Evel Knievel's closed circuit jump over the Snake River Canyon or Muhammad Ali vs Antonio Inoki and then Muhammad Ali vs Lyle Alzado.
The purists do not pay the big dollars. The appealing, unique and unusual promotions do. That is why Pacquiao vs De La Hoya will do big numbers. So will Silva vs Jones.
