Anderson Silva vs Hendo II might be fun to watch :D
Silva and Nog are the only two to submit Hendo and it would be fun to see if Hendo can end Silvas winning streak.

Tho im not to happy about Chael getting an other title shot but i guess business is business.

I think Ben Henderson will have learnt his lesson from last time and just shoot for the TD this time

they really think wrestlers are the answer to beating Silva dont they? The problem is Silva is not afraid to be taken down by wrestlers, his defence off his back is very good also he can take alot of damage if necessary good luck getting a decision victory. Can any of these guys survive 5 rounds in silvas guard? can they survive long enough on the feet to make it 5 rounds even?

Okami, Sonnen, and Henderson will all get beat again ( I know Okami technically won the first fight but he lost in every way but on paper, he was never a threat to Anderson)

I would much rather see Silva / Henderson 2, than Sonnen 2. Silva should be looking for legacy fights now if he ever wants to catch up with Fedor as the GOAT. So either this, GSP or move up and fight someone there

Hendo looks like trash at 185 anymore, so no, I don't have any interest in seeing it.

Anderson's weakness is a good wrestler, however, and if Hendo had a gas tank at 185 he probably could beat Anderson because his submission defense is tight and Anderson isn't the god off of his back that so many of you have made him. Henderson simply gassed out which is rather typical for him at MW, he started sloppy slugging, and the game's best counterstriker planted a shin on his Chin and that was that. I'm pretty sure I could have choked him out after that kick landed so quit acting like he just vaporizes dudes in his guard.

He's choked out a completely drained Lutter, choked out Hendo who was KOed for all intents and purposes, and he choked Sonnen who could get triangled looking at a geometry book. His guard is still nothing more than get a body triangle and elbow or close guard and hope for a stand-up and there are wrestlers who will exploit that. Hell, Sonnen might even do it if he stops his little "BJJ is gay and I'm a Republican deal" because Anderson isn't a Mundials champ and he doesn't have a tricky guard whatsoever aside from the length of his legs which does make his body triangle and closed guard exceptionally effective and stifling.

I agree with Metal I really dont wanna see Hendo at 185 anymore. A catchweight fight could be good but is there really any point in it ? Id rather see Hendo brought back to maybe face Machida.

Sonnen is the guy to beat Anderson at middleweight. Not Henderson.

No he isn't. Silva needs GSP, or to move up in weight but as Mr White is a complete idiot and is wasting fighters primes by making them fight fights no one wants to see instead. How has he not made GSP / Silva yet? It's the Pac / Mayweather of MMA of Christ sake

I agree that fight should've been made already. GSP does not want to move up yet though. White can force some fighters to do things, but he cannot force GSP to move up in weight right now, or Anderson to drop.

What a stupid fight. Both guys are nearing the end of their careers and they're going to waste one of their few fights left on a matchup that already had a definite ending?

Stupid fight. Much rather see Hendo vs the winner of Forrest/Shogun. There's a fight we haven't seen yet.

    Apparently not...

Then it would have to be Henderson by default.

    Wait...

    No, not him, either.

I guess they could just keep getting rematches with him until they finally beat him. That seems to be the route the Ultimate Rematch Championship is going.

The answer to Silva isn't wrestling - it's fighting. Chael and Dan had to be good enough to stand with Silva for long enough to take him down and then they needed a good enough submission defence to stop his subs. They failed in the final hurdle. It's really hard to be a good enough striker, wrestler and bjj to beat silva. If you aren't quite good enough then you are getting ko'd, your td stuffed or subbed.

It just so happens that wrestles tend to fight because they aren't scared to physically engage because their game is all about positioning. Once they do engage, they don't tend to look for subs but punching you in the face. Obviously you get the slow boring wrestlers like GSP and Evans but we are talking about guys like Chael, Dan, old Tito etc

GSP a slow boring wrestler? Probably the most active wrestler in the game!
