People... Anderson Silva has cleared the Middleweight division. Belfort was literally be considered his biggest threat to his belt since Dan Henderson. Which isnt saying much...

I mean no-disrespect to Belfort, but relying on KO power against someone like Silva is plain "Stupid."
Once Belfort was out, everyone was mentioning Maia, Sonnen or Marquardt. Marquardt is automatically out becuase he lost his last fight... you dont make someone who lost the #1 contender.

As for Maia and Sonnen....

I hear that people are saying: "yea, sonnen can take him to the ground, BUT, he will STILL lose." "Yea, Maia is great, BUT, he will STILL lose."

Where is the competition.???
Silva is far to superior for that weight division....

White & Company needs to put Silva in with the elite 205lbs.
Putting him in that picture brings interest and shows FACT that Silva is a force to be reckond with.

Couture is being talked as the new possible #1 contender for the LWH belt following his win over Coleman at UFC 109. Couture (vs) Machida?? Couture (vs) Rua??? Are you for realz??????

I say give Couture to Silva and lets find out who is the REAL #1 contender.

i really like maia. hes a sleeper. behind the laidback, somewhat aloof persona is a guy with a massive heart and will of iron.
ive been wrong a million times but i keep having visions of travis lutter with anderson in trouble and it gives me the feeling that this has got upset of the year written all over it imo.

 

This fight will end with Silva KO Maia in his last two fights Maia thinks he is a striker and will try to strike with Anderson early and will get KO 1st rd I can not see Maia getting a take down to work his ground game

 

Anderson is gonna destroy him. I'm hoping not though. I'd like to see Anderson lose lol
