Anderson needs to get his arse up to 205 were it belongs & start giving us fans & himself real fights... Silva vs Shogun would be ****in epic. I dont want to hear about GSP, I dont think he has any intentions of stepping in a cage with Anderson + I think Diaz is gonna beat him or give him all he can handle at WW in his next fight anyway. Belfort & Sonnen have had their chance, they were both stopped so thats that.
We all know how Silva feels about fighting against former training partners. He's not fighting Shogun. I don't care about seeing him against Belfort again. I would love to see a Sonnen rematch primarily, as that was his toughest challenge. I would like to see him face Henderson again. I thought Henderson did enough to deserve a rematch while with the UFC, but a lot of time has past since. I would also like to see how Silva would do against Palhares. Silva ko's Palhares if he looks like he did in the 3rd round the other night. I just wonder what happens if Palhares goes for broke, eats a shot on the way in, and gets Silva on the mat.
If Anderson is going to move up to 205, then he should fight whoever the champ is. Everyone who is calling on GSP to move up and face Silva don't ever seem to mention him fighting someone else at MW first. So why would Silva fight anyone other than the champ at LHW (which I think will still be Jones as I'm pretty confident he'll take Rampage).
Id like to see either Belfort and Sonnen get another shot at Silva. The Vitor fight ended to quickly for me but Id love to see exchanges between the two. Sonnen is just an Ox and his takedown ability is the best in MMA which makes him a challenge. Id also love to see Hendo again. That right hand seems to be better than its ever been and that may keep Silva honest. And Andersons not getting the better of Hendo in a clinch. As many recall, Anderson clipped Hendo in the first fight (early 2nd) and Hendo never recovered. As for Jon Jones, I would doubt Dana makes this matchup when he can still milk Anderson. They would match him if Anderson pisses Dana off and Dana wants him out. As for whos going to win. It would be Sonnen x 10, Silva would get bludgeoned. Bigger, Faster, Stronger, just as smart. Anyone watched Shogun the other night dispose of Griffin? Thats a great fighter right there. Well, Jones made Shogun his ***** w/o breaking a sweat.
Sonnen needs to be Silva's absolute last fight at 185. I've got no problem with this fight even though I've been calling for a permanent move to 205 for ages. Belfort though doesn't deserve a rematch. He got assassinated ffs and didn't even deserve the first shot. They should give Sonnen a decent but beatable opponent so he can get some rounds in and work off the rust, and make Sonnen Silva's next opponent.
