Thoughts? I actually think Anderson would have a good shot at beating Tim. Tim aint taking him down, so that leaves the fight on their feet.

Sylvia by murder. He cuts down to 265 you know? He's basically got 100lbs and 6" in height on Silva.

Plus, Anderson isnt even the type of striker who could pull such an upset; he's very methodical and technical, he isnt going to bullrush Sylvia...and standing on the outside against such a bigger man is very dicy - Sylvia could reach him with a right hand if Silva threw a leg kick (like he was against Rico).

AS is a great fighter, but Syvlia is very good as well, and twice as big. Size matters.

Oh well, I'm kinda bored and just thinking about ****. Silva is a pretty big guy. Couture dropped Sylvia and I think Silva has equal power to him, but much faster, sharper and technically superior striking then him. I just don't see what Sylvia would do to Anderson really.

Big Tim would look like a giant in there. And unlike a shorter guy like Couture that's beaten Tim, Silva isn't strong nor a great wrestler. He's a rangy, wiry striker at 185, but that reach advantage goes out the window against a guy like Sylvia. Those Muy Thai knees would have a lot farther distance to travel, too.

I don't see anyway Silva could overcome that kind of size difference. Plus, his power would mean a fraction of what it does now at heavyweight.

Nice analyisis, Big Tim would defintley be victorious. Silva is a great fighter but he really depends on his knees, and Tim would really differ from the few people Anderson has dominated on the ground.

I think Silva is a great fighter for now, but its only time before someone comes up with a good game plan to beat him, he has viscious knees but a sloppy ground game.
