Anderson Silva's next fight at 185... Rashad Evans!

How can Evans make 185 ??

I would say no for now......

 

Jesus Christ...i thought we'd gotten over Silva facing a guy with over rated wrestling credentials who does better in his interviews than he does in his fights

if you all buy into this bull**** I will lose all faith in MMA fans for good

 

a 185 rashad evans would be very drained. but would be very interesting at 205

Easily. Sonnen walks around heavier in between fights than Rashad does.

 

Evans should have moved down to 185 long time ago.

 

Firstly Rashad has never made 185 so already there's a question mark (even though his body fat percentage come fight night would say he's actually a MW) , secondly Rashad is chinny , and Silva would find his chin , no doubt

As pure wrestling credentials go Sonnen is actually the better wrestler , and stylistically he's better matched to Silva than Evans because he has an awkward pressuring style which is difficult to read , unlike Rashad who is basically a counter puncher / grappler , who is technical in his application where as Sonnen is more the buldozering type

But ................... Evans is an all round better fighter than Sonnen , however using the Pacquiao Marquez Nacho Beristain theory of (Pacquiao is now more a technical fighter than before , therefore he will be easier for us to hit) i don't see Evans having the success against Silva Sonnen has (thats of course during the PED's issue ??) , just because Evans is a wrestler doesn't give him a free pass against Silva , IMHO Silva will do as he pleases against Evans

 

I have no interest in watching Rashad absolutely melt again. He had the wrestling and punch power to do something with Jones but when a guy is scared to be finished then at this level they can often fight to survive the distance and take the L.

 

I have interest in it but only if 1 Rashad can make the weight and 2 he EARNS the shot. Middleweight might be dominated but its still deep and there are guys who would be more deserving of a shot. Munoz-Weidman winner, Bisping, Stann, Lombard-Boetsch winner, Belcher and maybe 1 or 2 other fighters.
