Pfft. You really think any MMAist has mastered that many of the sundry traditional disciplines? Jackoffs of all trades, they are. :yep
That boy is so over-hyped it is ridiculous... His division is weak, he hasn't proven ****. All the posturing and taunting in the world doesn't make you a great fighter. How the hell does a win over the, mostly retired, Stephen Bonnar mean anything? God, I can't believe you people let Dana White play you like this...
He has natural ability and talent but to suggest that he would be a great boxer is a bit rediculous. Boxing is a completely different sport so you can never really tell. Boxing history is littered with people who were great at one sport but didn't have the metal to be a pro boxer. The fact that he's a star in a burgeoning sport for which there is no formal amateur program and is only practiced by about one tenth of the number of people world wide who train at boxing for me means that its pretty tough to predict just how he would do in a bigger more standardized sport like boxing. He could probably be a world champion but greatness is only a handful of fighters in any given generation. You'd have a hard time convincing me he'd be one of those fighters.
his only win was against Julio Cesar De Jesus, who for some reason never fought another fight and he was KTFO in his only other fight MVC a true **** sucking troll
Whats the point if your getting KO'd by bullies on Bully beatdown while the announcer exclaims "I knew eventually this would happen" I dont care how shot to **** Mosley is, you put him in there with someone off the street, they will never drop him.
He was knocked out in the second round by a complete bum in his pro boxing debut. Next time out he beat a guy who had never boxed professionally before and hasn't since, and he didn't look great in doing so. Good thing for him he stuck to MMA because no, he would not have been "one of the best" boxers.
Silva beating Bonnar is the equivalent of Mayweather moving up and beating Garth Wood (he's better then Bonnar). Now MMA fans are spazzing out with praise after Silva beat a journeyman.
When will we get an MMA fighter fight a Boxer at Boxing... And don't be giving me that Diaz was a boxer BS
Silva has talent and maybe if he started from an early age he would have been a good boxer. But then again, he is from Brazil and boxing is rude to boxers who aren't Mexicans, Mexican-Americans, Ricans and African-Americans.
When you are trading punches at mma your balance is different because you are either expecting a kick or going wrestling. I can't say for sure how good Anderson would've been in boxing.
His chin is excellent and he has good power. I think he could be a decent boxer and maybe even win a title but he's not elite or even world class. I think he would be a title holder because he has athleticism, reflexes, power and technique with a good chin but I don't see him beating guys like Andre Ward or Bernard Hopkins or Carl Froch or Kelly Pavlik even.
As Freddie Roach once said, MMA fighters punch like girls. And yes, Freddie let Anderson train in Wild Card gym. Silva wouldn't amount to anything in boxing. He looked terrible in his second pro boxing match against a total bum.
Yeah right, trumpeting Silva due to his achievements in MMA, yet continuously trolling about Pacquiao having lost to Torrecampo and Medgoen very early in his career. You've just contradicted yourself and stamped a mark of troll in your forehead.
