e Have to agree JC - just back from the fight and enjoyed a good scrap between two good men - I think McIntyre won fairly comfortably and it will now be difficult for Ando to bounce back even at his relatively young age , however stranger things have happened - maybe he needs a short spell away from it altogether, as he has been in or around the sport for many years- after reflection he may then wish to give it another go-- good luck to both men - well done to Barry Morrison Paul Appelby Dave Savage ,Paul (charlie )King. Stevie McGuire and Jamie Coyle who I hear has dropped down to Welterweight and may get the option of an eliminator with Young Mutley for McIntyres title in the near future.

Shannon is a good trainer but am I alone in thinking that Ando has not looked as good since moving his camp? Well done to McIntrye, he fought a good fight by smothering Ando's work as the body shots were clearly hurting him everytime they landed. I reckon a few months rest and then Ando can get back to his best. (he should have been moved up to Euro level about 18 months ago coz I reckon he has just gone stale at this level.
I had 115-114 McIntyre, same as Glen McCrory's card except I scored the last for Anderson and one of the earlier rounds(9th I think) for McIntyre . A big improvement from Anderson but he just doesn't look the same fighter he once was , McIntyre on the other hand looks so much better at Welterweight than he did at Light-Welter and he can be a good solid British champion.....but I don't think he has the power or chin to go further than that .
Not seen this Kell, whats his style like? McIntrye Is good with the straights, jab and combinations.:yep
Thanks for your honesty - so many posters will not admit that they get it wrong from time to time - I admire your attitude and loyalty towards your man Anderson - Apology Not Required --:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
For what its worth, I had ando winning the fight. Ando was the aggressor throughout, & McIntyre was doing too much holding & spoiling for my liking. Also, Ando landed the majority of the big shots throughout the fight, I thought two of the scorecards were a joke to be honest. & why was Victor Loughlin a judge, when he was from Paisley, Mcintyres hometown? Still, best of luck to McIntyre in the future I suppose. As for Ando? as I have said all along hes weight drained. Thats why his performances havent been as good lately, its nothing to do with tough fights beforehand, its to do with Ando not having his usual snap at this weight. He needs to move up, & fast. Then we will see the 'old' ando again. Its as simple as that.
Nah McIntyre's combinations were landing more than Anderson's single punches he could only land when he got close. Anderson ain't above domestic level anyway he's easy to hit with straights and he eats them to get Inside a fighter.
sorry dunk have to dissagree on this one - think we've seen the best of young kev although I dont take any pleasure in saying this having known him from his amateur days - I just dont know where he can go - I dont think he is big enough to challenge at a heavier weight and I dont think he's sharp enough to compete at the lighter weight
i think kev needs a long rest as his fights all seem to be wars,he is never in an easy fight like most of the young boxers these days, also since he moved his training to manchester he has went downhill, maybe time to go home and train with his old trainers again
Totally agree hes not looked the same since he hooked up with shannon. he used 2 throw combos of 10/11 punches now hes loadin up wi singles all the time he should hook back up with the guy he turned pro with Bernie Hammersley he was 18 -0 with him. Hope he comes back stronger after good rest !!!
Bernie only helps in corner he doesnt train him now, as kev trains in manchester and bernie stays in scotland!!
