****in right, Shannon has been awful for Ando, & the quicker he gets back with Mr H the better! I had a sinking feeling about the fight the minute I heard Ando was being trained by Shannon again...

I respect your opinion edster but trust me, Andos weight drained. Thats his problem. Thats why hes not looking like the fighter he was just a short time ago. The weigh in pics tell the story alone. Ando looks gaunt, cheeks collapsed in & ****, compare that to McIntyre who looked normal & healthy in comparison.
Its no suprise that mcIntyre has found his best form since he stepped up to his natural weight, Ando now needs to do the same. No rests, just jump up in weight & we will see the old ando again. Hes dead at the weight, thats how the speed isnt there anymore, & the snap has went out of his punches.

    Im sure of it.

I hear what your saying dunky, but I firmly believe that if he went up a weight he would be slower still as he hasn't got the build or height to carry the additional poundage- as I've mentioned in previous posts I take no pleasure in saying that as I've watched him since his amateur days when he was fighting @ Lightwelter and was able to throw lots of combinations , possessed good movement and was a very talented boxer. Kevin has always been a pressure fighter of sorts - however in his last couple of fights whenever he has been forced onto his back foot he finds it very difficult to adjust and can on occasion look pedestrian . The Anderson of two years ago would have stopped McIntyre within 4-5 rounds and no-one would have been looking for a rematch. I hope your right and he makes the right choices for himself and his family - I along with all the scottish boxing fans on the forum wish him well.

ach, who knows who is right my good man. All we know is that we are hurting at the demise of Ando, but I dont believe for a minute hes finished, he just has to get away from Shannon. That man has taken Ando backwards. Dont ask me why or how, but since he went down south hes never looked the same fighter he once was.

If Ando is feeling down, all he needs to do is look at Jim Watts early record, & what he went onto achieve. Ando just needs the right men guiding him, & its about time he told Shannon where to go. Its as simple as that. That guy simply hasnt got it.

Army training FFS??? It may be good for whipping my sorry arse into shape, but its not the right training for a pro boxer.

Maybe your right about Shannon, the Manchester style looks quite flat footed and Kev Is more flat footed latley.

Don't think its just Anderson that has suffered defeats in his last fights under Shannon either - also Ali Nuumbembe and Andy Morris?

Think there was also a Shannon trained boxer who recently came in a few pound over the weight and didn't get to fight as a consequence.

    Well said.

There is no doubt about it, Shannon hasnt got it. The quicker Ando realises this the better. It breaks my heart to see Andos demise, especially as I know Ando can still go onto achieve great things if he only realises that he needs to go back to the man that helped make him a champion in the first place.

Really hope he can bounce back. Only 24 and would be sad to see his career end so early on back to back defeats. A little time out to recharge, reflect & rethink his situation (trainer included) will probably do him the world of good. Has given us some great fights - I wish him well in the future whatever he decides.

Just to let use know the 'MAN' who trained Kev and first started him out boxing many years ago, and has stuck by him all the way is called 'Rab Crockatt' (and he serves a great pint lol, as he owns a pub too) he's been there from the start and kev needs to go back I think!!!

Actually, Rab Cockett only trained Kevin for one of his pro fights, the Ali Nuumbembe one, and we all know how what happened there, the wee man ran out of steam half way through! get your facts right my man.

I thought he won the Nuumbembe fight but it was very close and could have gone either way.
