I'm honestly not an expert as you guys are when it's about MMA talk, but I love Anderson Silva's style of fighting, and I'm rooting for him, all his fights.

    GO SILVA!

    Knock Hendo out!

    KTFO! KTFO!

This is the hardest fight to call in a long time.
I'll have to go with Anderson by a hair, I think he's on a roll, the weight drop by Henderson may hurt him and maybe his age is starting to creep up on him.

I'm pretty confident Hendo will win, here is why..

He's fighting in a cage, while Silva is good at keeping the distance, he is still vulnerable to the takedown and relies on a pretty good guard in those situations.. Problem is, he has never fought anyone as strong, or as stubbourn to submit as Henderson. Watch the big Nog rematch, Hendo is FREAKY strong, and FREAKY hard to submit. His strength is on par with any light heavies, actually stronger than most.

Remember, this is a cage. Anderson can bang out knees in the clinch, but Henderson was able to deal with Wanderlei, and has experience against a thai clinch. This means, the ONLY place Silva has any sort of big advantage over Henderson is from range where he is very dangerous, but then he's fighting a guy with a great chin, and just as dangerous a striker once in range himself..

Ask yourself this. Do you really think, that if these two traded and both landed, that Henderson would be the one that got knocked the **** out in one shot? Hendersons right hand is one of those freaky weapons, not quite a crocop left roundhouse to the head, but its pretty damned close.

Once the fight goes to the ground, Henderson has the advantage. Once the fight goes to the clinch, Henderson has the advantage, as he can overpower and take down Silva.. Mid range, its pretty even.

In the end, I don't see why Henderson is the underdog. Henderson has seen the thai clinch, has been in with very dangerous strikers, and has been in with the best heavyweight Jiu Jitsu fighter in the world, and actually hung well with him when fighting at a severe handicap type match that wouldn't even take place in the U.S. The guy has had no issues in the past fighting opponents 20+ lbs heavier than himself, now he's fighting someone smaller.

Silva on the other hand has never fought anyone as strong, or game on the ground as Henderson. Sure, Silva is a dynamic striker and knockout artist, but its not like Henderson hasn't been tagged by guys with just as much power. Henderson, imo has some deffinate advantages here due to expeirence, and competing against larger opponents that would be just as dangerous.

I'm not sure if anyone loses to Henderson that it can be a 'major upset'.

This fight is close on paper. I've been intrigued and excited since it was mentioned. Can't wait to see what happens.

I've got Hendo in this one. I don't see Anderson exerting his brand of fight control on Henderson.

I think this will more of a scrap than Silva's recent work has been with Dan out fighting him.

Henderson can take heaps of punishment and that might be the difference.

I simply can't bet against Silva.

Anderson by KO in the first 3 rounds.

This has another Anderson Silva masterclass written all over it!! lol, there can be no doubt that he's the best in the whole of the UFC and possibley pound for pound number one in mma right now, you don't get to that level for nothing, everytime he steps in the cage his level goes up a notch, imo when he's at his best he's near enough unbeatable and i can't see an ageing, weight drained Hendo being able to cope with the artistic brut force that Anderson is gonna hit him with, people can imply that "Anderson hasn't faced a wrestler like Hendo" but has Hendo faced anything close to the flamboyant skills of Anderson?, i don't think so.

I have a feeling it will be Anderson and by K.O. and people will be shocked. He is one of the most impressive strikers I have ever seen. Although Hendo fought Wanderlei, Silva is a different beast with his ability to combinations together at different angles is amazing. The guy is so precise (accurate and timing) with his strikes and that is what makes him so devestating.

Until Silva beats Hendo I don't think he should be considered as the best lightweight. *EDIT* as in, undisputed best LW
