Actually no, MMA is about fighting in the most effective way possible

What you are thinking of is toughman competitions and bumfights, dumbass.

Excuses excuses, gave his back when he could have easily avoided it?? lol Hendo I believe was content to get choked and tap early rather than getting KOED which was inevitable:deal

What fight were you watching? Owned.??taken down yes but hurt? No! Not even minimal damage and that was at half guard...unless you really think those hammer fists almost koed silva

once it went to the full guard and the body trap Hendo was stalled...

And for those of you guys who thinks Hendo should take it to the ground...watch most his fights..his style is to bang..and after the few exchanges and seing how loose Anderson was, you knew it was just a matter of time.

Silvas strategy everytime he fights is this:

Ground = you wont hurt me, I might submit you or wait for the ref to stand it up.
Stand up = dont push your luck

thats almost as unbeatable as it gets..even moreso than Fedor whos vulnerable standing up.

If you think that Silva wasn't dominated the first round than you're way up A.Silva's ass.

Excuses? How is "Hendo either gassed or made a dumb ass mistake which he could've avoided" an excuse? Here's communication 101 for ya, excuse would sound more like "Hendo gassed because he had to cut weight," or "Hendo made that mistake because he injured his leg during practice."

Hendo at this level, should NOT have sat beside Silva while he had control of on of his legs and a wrist. He knows better than that. I believe he was simply tired.

Just to show you how fair I am , Hendo won the first round..no doubt but dominated..??lol when I hear dominated I think GSP against Hughes 2 and 3. Hendo got the TD because Silva was opening up a bit and fell into a clinch, like I said Hendo, Matt and randy in that situation will take a bear down. But he couldnt really do damage on the ground and fact that Silva was able to go to full guard showed that.

Yes Hendo got tired and why not..the second tiume they clinched he thought it would be as easy as the first time in the middle of the ring. He spent 2 minutes by the cage trying his heart out..you'll get tired as obvious as when they went down the 2nd time..Hendo couldnt control as well..

Either way there was no chance really...Only thing I didnt like will Silva was saying Franklin was his greatest challenge to spite Hendo(who did talk alot of crap) He should have said Chonan:lol:

Dominance = complete control. Hendo completely control the first round and I think Silva tagged Hendo one or two times.

No chance is stupid to say. Just based on the first round Hendo had every chance in the world to win the fight.

I'm thankful for great performance from Silva and I think he IS number 1 p4p in the world with tons of class, but Hendo should've done WAY better than that.

To put it in perspective, Hendo had a better chance against Rampage in that fight which I just rewatched...There he ran out of Gas a bit later and only then when Rampage capitalized. I think another poster made a good point the body triangle and working too much for the 2nd takedown caused Hendo to fail..Hes also 37 which is amazing in itself..and yes Hendo has a shot against everyone

Silva WON! that is the bottom line. Everyone who picked hendo to win is just upset he lost. CRY ME A RIVER. Hendo is a great fighter but look who he is up against.
