If its a good pay day its a good idea for Silva, but he is going to get his ass handed to him by Jones.

Im surprised Silva didnt challenge Sugar Ray Robinsons dead corpse. Im sure that will be his next call out though.

God forbid the UFC champion challenges a current champion in his prime.

I wish they would just fight and get it over with. This fight becomes less intriguing by the day. NO one wants to pay money to see Anderson Silva get his head boxed off for ten rounds.

I think the same happens to Lacy. Il give Jones credit for flirting with a dangerous fighter at his age. But this could prove costly. I dont know why the guy just wont retire. He's not Hopkins. But then again if Jones does he's rope a dope trick ala Tarver he'll be looking up at the lights.

That's what I was thinking. I read that Don King owes him money from the Trinidad fight. Still doesn't explain where all the other millions went.

Without the kick and BJJ, ANderson will get beat bad. RJJ is a shell of himself but he is still good enough to beat Anderson in a straight up boxing match.

Unless RJJ gets a bad break and lets Silva catch him RJJ should have this pretty easily.

Considering everyone in this thread thinks that RJJ will beat Silva, why should Anderson face a current champ?
It sounds like he's in over his head already.

Its a mismatch, Roy beats Anderson Silva by boxing rules in any boxing ring

So if David Haye called out Ken Shamrock you wouldnt have a problem?

Its a similar situation. RJJ hasnt beaten a good fighter in years. And everytime he steps up in competition he loses.

RJJ is a big name and Silva will get a big pay day. And at the end of the day Silva knows hes going to lose but he might as well make more money and not look utterly useless and incapable of defending himself if he fought RJJ as opposed to a Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins, Tomasz Adamek.

I guess im just upset that Silva chose to challenge a 41 year old past his prime legend as opposed to one of the elites. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
