    Andres Ponce Ruiz Jr. is a 25 year old 6'2 Heavyweight with a 22-0 16 KO's record. The Destroyer was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico and lives in Imperial, California. In spite of his rotund appearance Andy is one of the most agile, light on his feet, 250 lb Heavyweights out there, his hands are faster than anyone his size and weight has any right to be, also he's quite the impressive combination puncher. Working under Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym, Andy is making great strides and to his credit he's lost 80 pounds since he started boxing, so if he can keep shedding the weight and improving his skills maybe one day he can surpass Chris Arreola and America's best tubby Mexican Heavyweight.     Hes the Hamburger Kid its Andy Ruiz. i rate ruiz jr, think he brings something to the HW scene, i wonder what he would way if trimmed down though. 250lbs now? carrying 30lbs off ****. Good fighter hope he does well

    Although he's fat, and probably wouldn't even be a Cruiser if he was in shape I think he's one of the best HW prospects around atm.
    His fat doesn't seem to bother his speed at all for some reason beyond my comprehension so it isn't as much of an issue it is with some others from the "Overweight Division".

    I used to party with this kid and see him at the local bars a lot last year. Trust me he isn't 100%committed to boxing.
