Why would he squat down to his level and exchange? It's to Ruiz' advantage. He didn't KO him because Ruiz got a good chin but he landed hard enough shots that he tried. He didn't just featherdust. You just overrated Ruiz.

Because even at a lighter weight, AJ still has had a history of gassing, Good for him, he worked that issue out. Probably some weapons grade EPO that UKAD let slip.

And anyone who talks about Dillan Fat Ass Whyte beating Wilder should be banned.

I've never liked Joshua but that was a class performance. Tonight we saw a man who's reinvigorated and has stepped up a level.

He boxed Ruiz's head off, I didn't think he was capable of such a fluid and cool performance over 12 rounds if I'm honest.

The only thing that didn't surprise me was him being a total helmet in the post match interviews, with his cod Shakespearean couplets and motivational slogans nicked from a teenage girl's Instagram.

Still credit where it's due, a terrific performance from him and I have to say that tonight's weight really suits him. He should stay there.

Ruiz's post match comments were disgraceful, the fat, lazy ****. Basically admitted he hadn't prepared properly. Doesn't deserve the trilogy at this moment in time.

Lost? you actually believe that? Let me tell you that AJ will continue to be the biggest star in heavyweight boxing and be the highest paid heavyweight boxer if not overall highest paid (Canelo being the only other cash cow).

AJ's marketability is just fine, he will continue to sell out arena's, have huge PPV numbers, huge sponsorship deals and earn big checks.

I didn't say he should dip****, I said good for him, he fixed his problems and got the job done. But that performance certainly isn't going to impress anyone. He's a runner now. Rejoice, everyone's favorite kind of fighter.

Come on now - let's be real. He's just easily 10-2'd a guy who had previously bounced him off the ring apron.

Yes, he's cringey as hell when he talks and looked vulnerable enough to make a case that he gets KO'd be Wider and schooled by Fury but he did well tonight and the division is better for it. Ruiz prob gets lit up by Wilder and I'm 100% sure he gets dominated by Fury.

The bitterness from the Joshua haters is to be expected. Just pathetic that they cant admit they were wrong about him.

Ruiz is a good fighter with a good chin and beats most in the top ten. His inside game is dangerous for anybody

This is a really unusual take. It kind of goes against everything that most serious boxing fans respect - humility, respect for the opponent, respect for all fighters, appreciating the sweet science. You are a mod but talk more like a casual - “coward” “running” etc etc. There’s a spiteful and mean spirited vibe to some of your opinions.

Joshua boxed very well. And he proved a lot of people wrong - he was NOT robotic. His gas tank looked good. He can stick to a game plan. His jab was incisive. And, as most people on here loved to point out - Ruiz is still a nightmare matchup for him, yet he neutralised him and took very little damage.

I’m a fan of them both, and I think respect is due to Joshua. When someone proves you wrong, it should be enlightening and something you respect, rather than digging in and being disrespectful and childish. You’re a mod - grow up.

Why would he apologize to Hearn. Better to stink the place out and regain his titles - there was a lot riding on it.

If he went in to have a tear up the result would have been the same. Ruiz is more powerful and far more durable.

Ruiz issue is he CBA to train properly, the condition he came in was shocking. AJ did what he had to do. Ruiz didn’t do what he had to - that’s on him

Although, certainly that dull performance was better than losing to Ruiz again, I was not in the least bit impressed by Anthony Joshua. His name should never be mentioned with other all time greats. And, Ruiz accomplished exactly as many defenses as you would expect from somebody who comes into the ring at 283 pounds: ZERO.
