...idk, tbh I haven't seen all that much of Hunter's stint at HW, pretty sure I've seen a few bouts, they just haven't stuck out in memory - but the lingering impression of him that I have is Usyk beating the living shit out of him down at cruiser, especially in the last quarter of the fight (Hunter was basically out on his feet for the entirety of round twelve). Povetkin is especially dangerous late, going in against him with questionable stamina is a death sentence for even iron-chinned opponents. As much as I love Usyk, he is smaller and lighter-hitting than Pov...

Oh, so now all of a sudden you conveniently like wildly charismatic bull**** artists who are naturals on the mic. Boy, it's whichever way the wind blows with you isn't it? Also the last time I checked, AJ has no personality or mic skills either. And why would I be mad, he was made to quit by a personality less fat man.

@Serge and I have both been following it intently, he's looked like a million bucks. He destroyed Kiladze as easily as Joyce, before Joyce, and did far better than Kownacki. He handled Bakole with absolute ease, it was a demonstrative showing. He ripped Ustinov to pieces. Destroyed that Brazilian dude that went the distance with Rivas, and his performance against Kuzmin while workman, was a fairly comprehensive domination.

Povetkin was dangerous late, when he was on Meldonium, he hasn't been dangerous since. He went the distance with Hammer, Rudenko and recently Hughie. And he's been gassing midway through.

Other than just being a fat ass (plus a loudmouth trash-talker I guess, but no more so than a majority of fighters), what has Whyte done to inspire so much hatred that people actually feel comfortable openly rooting for a waste of space in Wach, among the most fraudulent contenders of the last decade?

I remember there was a point where him, Ustinov, and some other big lug (can't even recall the name) who's basically just a giant plodding chin were all ranked top-10, surely a low point for the division.

Guy has zero boxing skill. Not sure how one finds themselves rooting for that over a guy that, while flawed, at least knows how to fight, and at a pretty high level no less.

Whyte UD. Let's hope not. That's gonna be a really BAD fight. I can just see it from here. I desperately want Wach to come out of his shell. Hopefully Whyte coming in heavy might liven this fight up..fingers crossed.

Ugh. Twist of the knife, hearing Pirog talk about boxing - from the outside looking in.

Grandmaster alone could have prevented Canelo's romp up the weights. He would have been the immovable object, the brick wall that Golovkin tried and failed to be (at least officially). :ohno

Mexicans are the biggest market globally in all of boxing, and historically they have never had a reason to pay heavyweight (the sport's traditionally most lucrative division) any mind. Ruiz as champ is exquisitely good for boxing compared with Joshua, whom I like, but who aside from his knockouts is as dull as tax prep, both in the ring & out.

Sadly I think boring is just what we're going to get. In a just world, Wach will win by vicious KO1. Hopefully the big oaf realizes he has a chance here and goes all out early and outs him down.
