August third at BMO Stadium, part of the Madrimov-Crawford undercard. Ten rounds scheduled at heavyweight. Neither is currently ranked in any major org's top 15.

Have to go with Ruiz Jr, he's far more proven but who know what he'll look like when he returns. He'll have been out of the ring for almost 2 years when this fight happens, Miller for all his limitations has at least been active.

I suspect Ruiz will look poor on his return. Ruiz isn't difficult to hit when you stand and trade with him we saw that against Joshua, Arreola and Hamer and we all know Miller will just go right at him. Should be an entertaining fight as both trade shots with little defence, but in the end Andy's sharper counters will be the difference and if there's one fighter who comes in at worse shape than Ruiz it's Miller, so chances of him out lasting Ruiz is slim. (first time anyone used Ruiz and slim in the same sentence lol.)

So Ruiz either wins a decision or stops him late.

Ruiz should be favoured but this isn't an easy fight for him.

Miller's chin is granite, Ruiz doesn't have the power to deter him and he doesn't have quick feet to move around Miller. He'll have to keep countering while Miller walks him down and tries to bully him.

It's nice to see Miller settling comfortably into his destined role of journeyman.

Ruiz is unpredictable even when he's "fit" (relatively speaking) and not ringing rusty.

Anywhere near fit and sharp, Ruiz wins this easily... But will he be? That's the big question.

Andy being motivated enough to come back might hint that he's up for it - then again, he might just be up for a bit more cash.

If Ruiz is in good form then it should be a decisive victory for him, possibly by stoppage. However that is a very big if; most likely Ruiz will come in ring rusty and overweight, which would make for a very tough night for him.

What are you basing that on? I mean, he lasted a hell of a lot longer against Dubois than Hrgovic did, and performed much better. Arreola dropped Ruiz, Ortiz easily outboxed him in every round he wasn't dropped in, if Miller shows up in even remotely decent shape, he could very well win this.

It may end up being an embarrassing prediction, but I'm taking Miller by stoppage. There is no doubt Ruiz has some of the quickest hands in the division, but I just see Miller suffocating him and Ruiz gassing (mainly because I have no faith in Ruiz showing up in any kind of shape). IMO, Ruiz will unfortunately be a fighter that could have been much better but was too inactive and lazy to meet his potential. He's only had two fights since COVID-19...TWO.

However, like I said, Ruiz could show up and batter Miller into the canvas, because I don't know what I'm talking about.

If this was pre-popped for gamma radiation Miller, I would've said Miller.

At this point I think Fat Andy obeses himself to a win..............

Weird fight to take on a comeback. Miller is huge with a bit of a dig and can take a shot.
Ruiz hasn't got quick feet, power, or great defense.
If Miller is fit and can maintain his work for 12 he might well pull this off. Ruiz will need to be sharp and hit hard. He showed VS Ortiz he punches can have some snap on them but later in the fight if its a gruelling affair could be interesting. That lay off isn't going to help him

Ruiz by lackluster decision, will be a low-volume slow fight with Ruiz nicking rounds by countering Miller's offense

Serious question: Is he able and motivated to get into shape without all the drugs?

Might be hard to call this until we can see them both in camp training. I think this will be about who wants it more.
