    There's nothing dramatic about it. Literally yesterday a boxer had to be hospitalized after a fight that wasn't nearly that brutal, and people do die. If refs let fights continue on until one guy was KOd cold every time, we would see a lot more in ring deaths.

    KOs should come from 1 punch, or quickly. Not prolonged beatings.

    Exactly. He was given multiple extended recovery times by the ref. Nobody was trying to deny that kid anything except an extended hospital stay or untimely death.
