Possibly the most ear-paining butchering of the US anthem ever heard at a boxing event, and God knows the twenty-first century has thrown up a lot of competition for that booby prize.

 

Really? I thought it was good.

 

Some of Andy's weight seems put to better use than in past bouts. But 268 3/4 lbs is a lot to carry on that frame. We know King Kong's gas tank isn't the best...but I have to wonder if Ruiz Jr can keep up his intensity, too.

Agreed. He's about 6' or 6' 1/2".

Ortiz isn't quite 6' 4" for that matter.

My gut says Ruiz with 0 watching of the build-up to this fight.

 

Lennox always had a lot of hair, now zero, that must be tough.

I'm a bit worried that between Andy's weight and Ortiz's age...they could be slow dancing by about round 10 or so.

Not from the USA, but when did singing the national anthem go from being an honor to being whatever that was?
Ortiz has nothing to lose her, Andy has everything. Ruiz looked nervous during the weigh in, Luis looked calm. Don't mean ****, but still. I'm picking the old man for a late fight KO.
