Wilder doesn't have cardio for s**** as well. And let's just see him how he will look. Wilder also doesn't have legs whatsoever, so he may hit the canvas quite a lot as well. Again it's all depend on what version of Ruiz will shown in the right. Granite chin that is ready to goes through fireworks or shy version of tonight.

No one knows what Wilder has left. But the 2018 version of Wilder or Ortiz beats today’s Ruiz.

I had it 7-5 Ortiz so those scorecards generally were okay for me. Just too many KDs to overcome.

Ortiz needs to retire. He’s only good now as an opponent to Jalolov or Hrgovic, and I don’t want to see him go out that way. He had opportunities tonight to pull the trigger on the left hand bit just couldn’t muster the reflexes. He’s done.

George Foreman didn't have an extensive amateur record. George Foreman's amateur record was 22-4. And that's including the Olympics. He had 16 wins after the Olympic Trials.

Luis Ortiz's amateur record was 343-19.

Luis Ortiz finally hit the wall tonight. His legs died on him. Still, he gave Ruiz a boxing lesson for the most part.

You can't fault him for being an amateur for too long, though. He had to escape his country on a tiny boat and brave the ocean to get here just to turn pro.

Pretty un-satisfying end to the evening's proceedings.

Some people were suggesting that either AJ's or Wilder's reputation would take a hit toinght. But I gotta believe that - despite the win - it was Ruiz Jr's reputation that sustained the most damage. That being said, it's equally apparent that - despite his immense skill - Luis Ortiz's career as a frontline contender is firmly at end.

I thought Foreman fought more than that in the AMs. Shows how good he was to win a gold medal with no experience.

I still stand by my point; Ortiz was probably always chinny. Let's see if GGG can take Canelo's shots at 40 in a couple of weeks and see if the point stands or not. GGG had hundreds of AMs fights too so his punch resistance should be gone as well.

True but wilder is a warrior and is so eager to trade that the length and jab might not matter. Ruiz jr has the better chin and faster hands and even though he doesn't have Wilders power he has good power as well.

TBH I think Ortiz looked just as bad against Martin. Legs gone, reflexes declined. But even now still very skilled.

Will Fury still be fighting in 2 years? Let’s see if he is still fighting in say September 2024 as I have my doubts!!

If Wilder positions himself right he could be in for a vacant title or a shot at a new champion.

I thought Ortiz was worth a draw. Looked done after the third kd but Ruiz just didn't want to push it too hard.

He wasn't always chinny, though. He isn't chinny now. His legs are dead. He had his wits after every knockdown. Those are what dead legs look like. Punch him in the side of the head, his knees give out. Those are dead legs.

It's not like he hit him in the head and Ortiz didn't know where he was. That's chinny.

More or less agree. But I don't think he's a candidate opponent for Hrgovic who, after all, is now the IBF mandatory challenger. Hrgovic is on a different level now.

Ortiz is strictly a gatekeeper now. In all honesty, he probably would be even if he had won tonight.

Also the person who tweeted that is an imbecile. The fight wasn’t “mathematically off the table” in round 9 because Ortiz could have scored some 10-8 rounds.

Ruiz stinks. Feed him to Wilder in a comeback fight then put him out to pasture with the other cows.
