Rumored to be in the works for 9/18, Fox PPV. No word on whether it would be an eliminator of any sort, but each man is ranked in the top ten of every world championship sanctioning org (Ruiz is WBC #2, WBA #4, IBF #8, and WBO #4; Ortiz is WBC and WBA #3, IBF #9 and WBO #7)

Andy looked vulnerable vs Arreola. I think Ortiz can stop him but if it goes late then anything could happen as Ortiz will tire and become vulnerable.

With Arreola then Ortiz it feels like we're on the road to Ruiz vs Wilder.

Now that would be worth a PPV!

Ortiz should be able to outbox Ruiz. Ruiz looked terrible against Arreola. Ortiz is still one of the best pure boxers in the division and has the footwork and jab to keep Ruiz at bay.

As ancient as Old Man River Ortiz is, if he lands that big left cross of his on that glass mandible of Fat Andy's I'm not sure it won't lay him out on his back after what I witnessed in his fight against Arreola's grandfather's shot ghost. His punch resistance or rather lack thereof in that one almost made me puke.

Tentatively Ortiz by decision. How Ortiz’s legs hold up in the later rounds will probably determine the outcome.

I would think Ortiz split decision after dropping Ruiz. Ortiz is at that advanced athletic age though where its not a certainty what type of pace his body can maintain. Things start failing for a lot of fighters at that age (legs, punch resistance, cardio, speed, etc)
