So it's not going to happen?

HW contenders are too reluctant to fight each other.

Depends what state Ruiz is in... At anywhere near his best he absolutely breezes this on points at the very least - but he didn't look good against Arreola so that's a big if.

Ortiz has a reputation that far exceeds his accomplishments in the ring - he's got some skills, but he's spent most of his time fighting gatekeepers and journeymen... Oh, and he's getting really quite old now, too.

Tentatively Ruiz on points, but plenty of question marks over this one

Ortiz is beyond ancient now so Ruiz should be too fast for him. UD for Ruiz.

But it's a fight i couldn't really care less about and will never happen anyway.

    HW sucks at the moment

It all depends on Ruiz. If he trains - he wins, if not, than I hope Ortiz will put him out of his misery

So, the Joshua I version beats Ortiz and the Joshua II version loses?

I don't think we will ever see Ruiz like that, he was too hungry and with totally different mentality.

Ortiz to me is the biggest myth of the past decade at Heavyweight. Fought one top 10 Heavyweight and was KO'd twice by him.

He'll be 0-3 (3) against top 10s if this fight happens.

I like this fight and would like to see the winner fight Hrgovich.

Easy fight for Ruiz, Ortiz is far too slow and open defensively (if the likes of Wilder, Hammer and Martin found it easy to land on Ortiz then Ruiz will have no issue) .

Chisora would of provided a tougher test.

Didn't both of them have the option to fight Hrgovic with no need to face each other first (not a risk free fight whoever you think will win)?

Seems like this is the fight to decide who will get to avoid Hrgovic. Or they're moving forward with a different sanctioning body.

I don't know about Ruiz, but Ortiz is injured. I think the ducking of Hrgovic has been overstated.

IMO, Ruiz is looking to cash out against Wilder and doesn't want to risk the payday. Maybe he will take Ortiz out of necessity, but he has fought only one time since 2019 and doesn't appear to be in a hurry. His career is going nowhere unfortunately.
