Uh, this was win the guy got to his feet. Not the initial time when the dumb ass ref stopped the count.
I just re-watched it many times...and yes Andrade was at least 9-10 feet away from his corner when the ref was doing his count ! But... It's besides the point since Bute was up at 9 at the most and when he fell down, there was less than 5 seconds left in the bout ! That means all Bute had to do was get up and he wins !!! END OF STORY !
This is actually the second time the ref had to tell Andrade to get back in the corner. The first time was when Andrade went to the wrong corner. It's a shame this ref has been so maligned. I'm actually very impressed with how by the book he was during the most chaotic moments of this fight.
He was trying to pull an old Shane Mosley on Bute, I loved how Shane just hovered over Mayorga and knocked him out with a second to go. That being said it's against the rules, I don't damn Andrade for trying but the way the fight ended was completely fair. Not only that it was quite a good fight and I'm on board for seeing a rematch.
That is a funny picture. :rofl The situation is more complicated than just that, but I found this amusing.

A picture is worth a thousand words! I hate the fact that the ref is catching so much heat for what seems to be no reason what so ever! Both guys got away with stuff Andrade (head butts, elbowing), Bute (holding, grabing legs) but that's normal this is boxing after all. And the more time passes the less I see a controversy! Too bad cause that was a great boxing night! I think in the end the Showtime guys might have lit a fire where there was none with their overblown criticism at the end of the fight!
