Vanes was getting his hands on him a decent amount. I thought that fight was a little closer than the commentators and judges

Sulecki is a decent fighter. I think the ending against Rosado has made us forget how he did against Jacobs and Culcay.

Andrade is defensively very good. Hard to hit clean, generally pretty tricky. Offensively he isn't great though and I still worry about his chin. I don't think he beats any of the legit world class guys. Would like to see him and Charlo against each other.

Actually no, I'd like to know the result of their fight. I've no interest in actually watching Andrade again.

A classic from Eddie Hearn latest interview. - "I Just can't see a way Canelo beats Andrade." hahahhahaha

That's pretty much how I see it, I'd like to see him fight Lemieux along with Charlo

He's all kinds of wrong for Lemmy I think, plus I don't see that he'll get back to 160 again

Andrade's offense was a bit sloppy, particularly as the fight went on, but his defense was on point. I've never seen someone shut down Sulecki's offense like that, and he's fought good opposition.

Could other, better fighters make Andrade pay for those winging shots? Yeah, probably.

Do I think he's taking a bit too much flak on here for shutting out a genuine contender in his prime? Absolutely.

Andrade did his best to make an entertaining fight out of one where Sulecki's workrate was uncharacteristically low- sometimes, when a guy counters effectively early, that happens.

Regardless, he's earned a bigger fight, even if that's not GGG or Canelo straight away (although I'd love to see GGG happen in the fall, I'm not optimistic GGG takes it now that he's in full-on end of career cash-out mode with a Canelo fight all but locked up for May).

Andrade didn't beat him because of his lack of punch resistance.

I didn’t really think it was that close either. I am not sure why people bring up this fight so much, as I think the first Maidana fight was actually closer than this one. I guess Oscar can at least say that he was the only person to officially beat Floyd on one judge’s scorecard (I don’t believe Floyd had any other split decisions but I could be wrong). I remember Oscar kept throwing these funny looking, slapping punches just trying to make contact with anything in that fight.

I think that when a fighter loses punch resistance they've also deteriorated in other areas. Andrade has skills to be sure but to me they look a little more of the party tricks variety. It'll be interesting to see him step up. Is Sulecki the best he's faced? If not who?

I think his offense was more of him trying to get Sulecki to open up more than anything else. Overall it was a dominating performance, Jacobs for instance didn't have anywhere near the success that Andrade exhibited. Andrade completely shut him down.

    Hard to say, probably.

Beating a prime Vanes was a good win.

The way he beat Nelson was impressive, but at 160 Sulecki was certainly his best

I'd agree with that analysis about him and Lemmy, also Lemmy is probably done at 160 but I'd still like to see them fight. With Andrade being so sloppy he could get nailed

Well, when Fury does it, many posters on here get hard. So watch out, you might take hate for that from the Fury boys!

To those that care about amateur pedigree (a lot of you as the years have gone on)... wasn't Andrade a very accomplished amateur boxer? Beat Culcay and Thurman twice, I know.
